I find that I can limit binges by tracking everything and also telling myself that I can start my day over at any time, that I don't have to let-er-rip for the rest of the day and start over the next day.

I'm a grazer and snack frequently between meals. The key has been to have high-quality snacks, usually fruit, some protein, etc. Late night snacking is problematic for me, so I try to eat a large dinner that will keep me relatively full until bedtime (I'm a night owl). My diet is focused around health concerns. I won't bore you with the shopping list of health issues. Even though my weight loss continues at a tortoise-slow pace this year, I have improved my diet quality, which is as important as the weight loss. I hope to lose another 10 lbs by year's end.

I eat more seasonal fruits and vegetables, I get more activity—walking, hiking, cycling— outdoors. Summer traditionally is when I lose weight the easiest.
