[Some people hate running. .. such as me. So OP do whatever kind of fitness u want. if u find ur having trouble or taking longer to recover then yes ur pushing yourself too hard. I'm horrible for that and it'll take me 2 days to recover
I don't necessarily hate running but still weighing 16 stone, things…

I would really like to know this too. I've been looking at the Mi Band 2 but not sure if it syncs to MFP

Thanks everyone. My main goal is to lose weight; I've already lost quite a bit using the elliptical and bike but wanted to try other things. The trouble is, at 16 stone things still wobble so the elliptical and bike are ideal. I think I'll try the interval method and see how it goes!! Are there any special breathing…

Last nights elliptical effort..... I'm just so proud of myself!!

Unfortunately the machine doesn't allow you to enter your weight. I understand the machines over estimate the calories burnt; maybe this pic helps clarify the effort I'm putting in? Yeah I'm looking forward to being able to use the treadmill but until I lose more weight and things don't wobble i'll stick to elliptical and…

The elliptical is a great form of exercise for weight loss. I've lost 18lbs in the last 2 months by doing elliptical and exercise bike. I started by struggling to do 5 minutes elliptical with zero resistance now I do 30 minutes at level 18....6.70 miles and 325 calories!! I tried jogging but at 16 stone things still wobble…

I had a sore tail bone but it turned out to be Pilonidal Sinus.....do you have a sore lump there?

I prefer the elliptical. Ive lost just over a stone in 2 months but still weigh 16 stone so maybe to fat to jog? I started on the elliptical and not even managing 5 minutes on zero resistance. Now i'm doing 30 minutes every night and covering around 6.5 miles and burning 320 calories!!

I love using the cross trainer and every time I try to beat my previous distance/calories burnt....it keeps it exciting! So proud of yesterdays performance (see pictures) bearing in mind I'm still a 16 stone fatty!!
-
And beat my personal best on the cross trainer again last night.....buzzing!!
-
Managed 300 calories in under 30 minutes on the cross trainer last night.....not bad for a fatty eh!!
-
Thanks for the support everyone!!! Just thought that being a fatty it would come off quicker!!

14 pounds in two months? That is not really slow! It seems that you have done quite well. Also, for you to have netted 297 calories in that time, you would have had to have been working REALLY intensely. As a racewalker, I usually credit myself maybe 400-450 for an intense hour on the treadmill.
Thanks!! The 297…

Thanks for the reply.....I will have to start measuring portions and logging all meals. What should be a healthy calorie deficit? Strange that machine will over exaggerate calories burnt. The picture below shows a recent 30 minute cross trainer session. I have the resistance fairly high so does this look about normal?
