Personally, it kind of sounds like you wanted validation for your current situation rather than actual support for your weight loss. You should be excited to have someone who is supportive and on your side. He clearly loves you REGARDLESS of your size or he would probably be gone already. After all, you're the one that…

Hi! Going strong into week 3!
-
Go to settings, go to diet/fitness profile and you should be able to change your starting weight there.

I have never seen someone here advocate for a starvation diet. Never. Now, I have seen people look for others to validate their own starvation diets but those people are often shot down with helpful advice and suggest therapy. So, idk what you're even talking about.

Typically, I'll go to the grocery store to do some research. I'll look at the things that I'd like to eat, their calories per serving, and the number of servings per container. I'll build my meal plan around that, and then I'll know the exact number that I have to buy for the week. I go back to the store, buy that and only…

Just count your calories, you'll be fine.

I know it has already been said, but CALORIES. Even going over a little bit every day can lead to weight gain in the long term.

Add me. Open diary. Also, need more friends that AREN'T just creepy dudes hitting on girls online.

My fiance is also on a weight loss journey, but he doesn't eat the same things I eat at all; he likes his rice and red meat, while I am a veggie and chicken girl. I always just cook one portion of what I eat and one portion of what he eats. Takes a little more time, but it doesn't bother me at all. To be fair, I mostly eat…

I really don't think you're counting accurately. Do you have a digital food scale? Because, if you don't, you could be wildly miscounting your calories. I remember being stunned by how little 4oz of chicken breast actually is. And how many more raspberries you get when weighing as opposed to just using a cup. Cups and tea…

Definitely NOT. I mean, typically you have to prove that you can even stick to healthy caloric consumption and lose weight to even qualify for surgery in the first place. Okay, so you lose weight and qualify for surgery. So, if you can LOSE weight without the surgery , why bother putting yourself through all of that pain…

Something cheap and simple that I like to eat is half a block of ramen noodles in the microwave (no seasoning pack),heat up some frozen veggies in the microwave (I like to do a mixture of broccoli, peppers and onions, and corn), cut up some boneless chicken (or other protein) with some kitchen scissors, season the chicken…

I don't know if I would say that I am a binge eater, as I don't necessarily eat to the point of being ill, but I am a compulsive eater. Once I get my mind fixated on eating something, I feel incredibly anxious until I do. So, keeping my head in the right place is THE most important thing for me. I fill all of my social…

I think Chris Pratt said it best: “Six months seems like a long time unless you’re looking backwards… all you have to do is just a few things everyday and remain consistent, and time will fly just as fast as it flies if you’re working hard or not. If you just cut the crap out of your diet, and if you spend an hour a day…

I would bargain that a self destructive pattern is was got a lot of us to where we are now.

If body positivity means being complacent with where I am, then I want no part of it. I am plenty confident in myself as a person, but I also know where I've failed and where I need to improve. Not patting myself on the back for that. Letting myself get complacent and telling myself that things are fine the way they are is…

You definitely hit the nail on the head with me not learning and committing to healthy eating habits. I lost a lot of weight at a drastically unhealthy deficit. I was eating as little as 500 to 900 calories a day for months on top of an intense HIIT workout routine. The scale went down, but my physical health was bad.…

Sugar is sugar and a calorie is a calorie. Too much of ANYTHING is bad. Moderation is key.

Chipotle seasoned steak and a huge teriyaki veggie stir fry with broccoli, peppers, onion, and corn. mmmm

For me, it's having a routine. I am definitely a creature of habit. I'm the kind of person that likes to rotate through the same cycle of four or five different meals and that's it. A routine for busy days and a routine for slow days. Once I find that routine, I am good to go. It's very likely that others would find the…

Dang. You are definitely goals.

That's awesome. Congrats!

There is no medication that will make you gain weight. It is possible that it could stimulate your appetite and make you hungrier than usual, but the pill itself will not make you gain weight. I lost the bulk of my weight on the depo provera shot, which is know to cause weight gain. It simply isn't true. Although, I did…

The ones that actually work are very, very dangerous and are basically amphetamines. I've seen people have serious heart issues as a result of these. Not worth it when simply eating less and exercise works just as well in addition to improving your health rather than harming it.

The time has nothing to do with it. It's all just calories in and calories out. However, if not eating passed a certain time makes it easier to stay within your caloric allotment, then that's what you should do. I love that old saying, "keep it simple stupid." I think "work smarter, not harder," may also apply here.

My wedding is also going to be in Spring of 2017! The way I see it, this gives me a lot of time to to make great progress and a fantastic motivation to really push myself. I'm really excited about all of the possibilities.
