Jeez. I completely overlooked that. Ha! Yeah, don't rush it!

>You ever feel hopeless regarding weight loss or fitness? Calling it hopelessness would be an exaggeration, but I was pretty discouraged earlier this year when I had to shut down my running (on even a very modest scale) because of persistent pain and discomfort. I sucked it up, went to the doc, got a diagnosis, got some…

Interesting observation. I went to a baseball game two weeks ago with high expectations for enjoying ballpark grub and came away unimpressed, both by what was on offer and what I actually purchased. It made me realize that food snobbishness has become part of my shield against overindulging. Stated kindly, I don't want to…

>But that willingness to endure feeling out of place has itself turned into a valuable skill. Love this. Great reminder as I plan a visit to the bike shop today with a degree of trepidation.

I'm a frequent user of allrecipes.com, and I tend to keep paper copies of recipes I make and enjoy from there. At some point I scanned the whole mess and organized as one big pdf, but I still find myself going back to the paper copies more often than not. I also like skinnytaste.com for WW friendly recipes. True story:…

I'm losing weight now, 1.5 lbs / week on average over 8 weeks, 12.1 total as of this morning. Everyday over the past several weeks has felt especially good and uplifting. Success breeds success, and I've not been able to stay focused and string together more than 2-3 weeks of loss at a time for a very long while.

> What's you favorite "Summer drink"? It's not easy for me to find in Minnesota, but Cleveland's Great Lakes Brewing Co. does a summer seasonal that is out of this world. It's like summer in a bottle. https://www.greatlakesbrewing.com/holy-moses-white-ale I just read that it's graduated from seasonal to year-round status.

I don't have a ready answer, but the "effit" question is a great one. It's something I'll try to be more mindful about. I suspect my effit behaviors are stress-driven, but I want to give it more thought. It could be as simple as misguided response to normal hunger signals.

Good day!

hello, roll call people.

I agree completely with @Al_Howard. With rare exceptions, when I track I lose. Last week is a good example. I was way over my allotted points (I think I finished something like -60 on weeklies!), but still kept at my tracking every day. I ended the week with a small loss. My feeling is that even though I was over budget,…

If I had the last ten years to do over again, I'd commit to a strengthening and flexibility program as a companion to my running and other cardio. I'm stubborn in my thinking and still insistent that I would not have gained weight back if I'd been able to stay highly active. In close second: I wouldn't wait to go back on…

Emmie @whathapnd - you nailed it. I like to order Indian at home once in a while. The place I order from is terrific, and I get a large portion of whatever entree I choose that also comes with basmati and naan. Even though I'm already getting enough for three meals, it is so very tempting to add on samosas as an appetizer…

>With summer less than two weeks away, have you set any seasonal goals related to your weight/health? Any other goals that might indirectly impact your weight/health? No definite goals, but generally I aim to keep losing weight and increasing activity. I have vague notions of a 100 mile bike ride before this season ends,…

Let's have dessert first ... >Bonus Question: What's your favorite summer dessert? First place: strawberries with whipped cream (with or without shortcake). First runner up: my mom's glazed lemon cake

Howdy.

I've targeted 60 minutes of activity a day, and I've been able to meet that goal about 8:10 days. I track steps, and I've been biking 2-3 times per week. The walking is great, surprisingly so. I have a 6000 step/day target and I'm usually able to meet it. I'm all about getting outside. Winter is brutal and long with plenty…

Some quick hits: - I eat my weeklies. All of them and then some. In the old plan years ago, I could reserve weeklies as beer points. I don't find that kind of cushion in Freestyle. - I'm losing. Almost 10 pounds in 6 weeks. Can't say the program doesn't work! - Bill and Steve's points above are absolutely true. It is easy…

Good morning. Seeing as how you're here, wouldn't today would be a great day to guest-start the LTL post? @lowbar31 @goldenfrisbee @steve0mania @GennaroC2 @cakeman21k

I'm a daily weigher, but weekly logger. I really need to remind myself not to attach too much importance to daily swings. How's that go again ... "the trend is your friend," right?
