I had a hunch. :) I know Kinston a bit from going to see Class A ballgames while on beach vacations. Vivian would have to be a pretty big fish in that pond. I haven't figured out if past seasons are available anywhere. I can't remember how it was recommended to us, but we just started watching in the current season. Great…

Oh, man. I'm working from home and, hmmmm, let's just say that's very tempting!

Thanks, Al. I went back and corrected. I *knew* that and still got it wrong. (Blaming the cold / cold meds once again!).

I went with rice and a scrambled egg last night, but, seriously, my backup plan was @88olds' oatmeal and chicken soup. Colds are miserable, more and more so the older I get. It seems that I don't get a cold anymore that doesn't come with random muscle soreness. Yesterday it was my neck and left shoulder. Today, it's my low…

Here. Nursing a monster cough and cold. Ugh.

The great unknowns to me are all between my ears. I know there's never a day when I don't want better health and appearance. But there are clearly days when I'm serious about it, days when I'm just marking time, and days when - I guess - I just don't give a *kitten*.

heads: I'm running a bit. At least it's something! tails: I've been inconsistent with tracking, my weight has trended up over last 4-5 WIs, and I've ducked out of weighing in this week instead of owning up to it. :s

Checking in, but not with good news. My C25K path hit a pothole last week. I blame a combination of factors: I was unusually sore early in the week, then unusually busy at work. I decided to skip the week entirely and will either repeat week 6 or take a step back to week 5. I'm not in a hurry, and I'd rather figure out how…

Jif, creamy, 'cause we're fancy.

Meh. No worries. Run your pace and be happy!

Week 6 is in the books. I don't even remember day 1, but I'm guessing it was on the TM at work. For days 2 and 3, I had a blast running in California, although it was colder than I expected. I was in Desert Hot Springs Friday morning and actually started out with beanie cap, gloves, and jacket. It was very windy and about…

This was a fun thread that dropped off the front page too soon. Giving it a bump. Also, @minimyzeme Kim ... I read about your MINI and then clicked on your pic there to see if it is a pic of your MINI. I didn't see your buddy in there on the passenger side floor board until I enlarged the pic. Super cute pup!

good morning!

I love the warm ups and cool downs! I'm running with a screwed up hip labrum and the walking really helps get all the surrounding muscles loosened up. I went through PT over the summer with the goal of "getting those glutes firing," so when I do the warmup I concentrate on form and try to remember what I'm supposed to be…

Week 5 is all logged. I ran on the TM at home on Monday, outdoors on Weds, and on the TM at work yesterday. I was surprised by the 20 minute run on week 5, day 3. Even though I just did C25K last fall I did not remember what seems like a pretty big leap in the run interval. It all went well, but when I saw that I'd be…

Go get 'em ... and have fun with it! Good idea to bring the kids along.

So ... Jer determined one? Are you Jerry?

I was Calvin2008 on the WW GoaD board. Calvin was my big male springer spaniel and best friend at the time I joined WW in Oct/Nov 2007. The 2008 part of the name was just because I was looking forward to bigger and better things in the coming year. I added Brian to it shortly after coming to MFP because that's my name. If…

Very nice! Way to go. You might find if you keep an eye on the hourly forecast or radar data you can find windows of time each day to get outside despite the rain in the forecast.

I finished week 4 with a nice outdoor run this morning. It was cold, but clear blue sky and only a little wind made for a nice outing. I'm very glad I did it. Week 4 days 1 and 2 were on the TM at home. With the same mix of run/walk, I went .2 miles longer today - outdoors - than I did on Weds on the TM. That made me feel…
