I've never understood the all or nothing way of thinking i.e. you have to eat this and you can't have that. CICO works. Portion control works. If I'd followed a restrictive diet I never would have accomplished any of my goals.

He recently had an "expert" on his show explaining how and why you need to "detoxify" your liver. I didn't watch. I could barely sit through the commercials for the episode.

Yum! Bananas. On my cereal, in my smoothies, or as a stand-alone snack. Love 'em, although they do tend to give me major gas at times.

I suffered from GERD for years and was miserable. Anything I ate affected it. My doc had me on Omeprazole, 20 mg twice a day which worked great, but if I missed even one dose...ugh...major heartburn. Depending on where you live, there are number of online grocery delivery companies available. I use one for all my grocery shopping. If it's just frozen foods, Google is your friend for finding where to order frozen foods.

I can't stand canned soup. Homemade split pea and New England clam chowder are my two go-to favorites.
