Thanks for the pep talk Goat. I do find it much easier to count carbs than to count calories being so much of my meals are virtually carb free. I truly cannot be bothered to count macros and all the rest of the things that are required on the keto diet. My plan is to limit my carbs and eat on whole foods. I hope it works.

Thanks for the replies you guys. I did fast prior no the 8AM blood draw. I had ingested nothing since the evening before prior to having the blood drawn. My TRIGLYCERIDE were 220 and as far as I know anything over 149 is abnormal. My HDL was 49 which is normal but my LDC was 149. My CHOLESTEROL/HIGH DENSITY LIPOPROTEIN was…

I was invited to friend's house Xmas night and got tired of saying no to everything the host offered. I ended up eating pasta, two slices of pie and had a glass of red wine. My weight went up a pound. It was my first cheat since starting keto in mid November. In the future I will need to be a picky guest I guess.

I just got off the scales and am on day 12 and have lost 8 pounds. The way I am up peeing all night one would think I should have lost 30. LOL. No, I am very happy with the progress so far.
