I'm in too- my birthday is in June and want to be at my goal. Actually not sure exactly what that goal is yet but I've a ways to go and it's prob 30 or more away. I'll chose 146 since I'll be turning 46 :) Original start - August 2016: 230 Challenge starting weight- Jan 22: 177 June goal weight: 146

I'd personally not "force" myself to eat when not hungry. I'd call it a night, and be ok with going over a bit tomorrow if your hunger dictates.

You can do it! I'm vegan/plant based too, for multiple reasons. I've lost about 50 so far, about 30-40 to go. I do count cals, and I do hover around 1200-1400. I've found I've adjusted, and if I'm extra hungry over that I have another snack, no biggie. I'm also a big walker and between those two I've been pretty steady,…

I walk almost every day, and aim for every day and more time, so I'm game! I have about 30# left as well. Add me if you'd like!

Vegetable soup with beans. Lots of recipes out there- you don't need much oil to start, add all veggies you like plus herbs, a can of tomato dice and garbanzo (or whatever beans you like). A big bowl is low cal, filling and satisfying! I use the mfp recipe function.

I've had to cut all sweets because I have no control (I can't do the one treat at the end of the day idea). I have some type of fruit in the evening, currently sectioning out 1-2 grapefruits in a dish and that seems to do it. But it's hard in the beginning. Keep looking at your patterns and try and avert (read/go for a…

For me I think losing weight was #1 in dropping A1C points (5.9 to 5.6 in three mos). I need to keep going down, but also still have ~30 more pounds to go. Interested in the responses!

Whoohoo! Vegan here, I heart carbs!

Aww sorry! That's a tough day. Forgive yourself for the slips and just go forward. The learning is that the foods can't change the grief, or heal you quicker. Only time will, and allowing yourself to feel everything. Sometimes we eat to stuff emotions, but it's ok to be raw and feel it. Maybe you can write/journal your…

Walk, walk, walk.

Another walker here! I started there, but also I'm still there, walking most days 45-50 minutes. I've managed to make it routine. I think about transitioning to jogging- but I love walking, and I'm still losing. I space out, enjoy the neighborhoods, plan my day or life, lol. Walk it off!!

Plant based/ vegan here. Please add me if you want!

Yes- I was an obese person following a plant based vegan diet. Track. If after time you can ease up, great. But for loss phase, track.

I do use it as my upper weight goal, which I'm still 20 pounds over. From there, I'm sure I can go down as it's the top of like a 25 or 30-pound range. I think it is a general rule, and since I'm probably "average" in many senses (I'm not super muscles or anything), seems like a good place to start.

My next mini is ~10 pounds...I just got into the 170s and don't want to stay here long--next goal 169! Then after that will be another 10 to "normal" BMI. I'm doing it!!

There's one Annie's it's called Woodstock- it's tomato-ey but creamy (via tahini I think, not dairy)...now that sounds weird but I bought it cause some lady in the aisle was raving and now it's my fave! I thin it out a little.

Hey thanks. Same to you.

I personally LOVE apple cider vinegar and have it regularly on foods (salads, cooked greens, sliced cukes). I could easily drink a shot of it anytime- but don't -not sure what it really will do for weight loss, other than it's low cal and low sodium.

I'm w/@magbird1103- very similar. I did it too. I've stayed right near 1200, and power walking 45 minutes a day, almost every day. You'd have to be diligent. I also lost a big whoosh at the beginning so that helped the weekly average. Also I started significantly higher than you at 230. I'm still plugging away...I'm at 50…

Identify three things you like about your body. Appreciate them every day. Could be anything- eyes, that cute freckle, hair color, your pinky toe. Do it, it's fun!

How long have you been at it trying to lose?
-
I grew an inch in my early 20s as well. I was 5'6" all thru high school and college etc...then sometime in my 20s I had a boost and I'm 5'7", have been since- I think but now I want to get my height checked again (I'm in my 40s so hoping I haven't started shrinking yet!!)

I eat no sugar and been losing. I do eat quite a lot of fruit and this completely satisfies all sugar urges. Clementine to the rescue!!

It's not to "scare people"- it's a mathematical calculation: if you eat more than mfp has calculated you to need, you'll gain; eat less and you'll lose. It's all estimation and should be interpreted w/a grain of salt.

There is a diet for when you have stomach issues- BRAT- which is bananas, rice (plain), applesauce, and toast. Not necessarily all together. supposed to be easy is you've been vomiting, but usually you'd just eat these for like the next 24 hours, not weeks. Anyway just stick to plain whole foods, and yeah I'd go back to…

I'd talk directly to the friend, nice, calm. Just tell her you felt let down, as it was hard to ask for help and you'd wished she could have been there when you needed her. Accept her apology (which I'm sure you will get) and move on. Then, without saying so, just limit your friendship with her. Sounds like maybe you have…

Let us know how it goes- even if it's less than your hope, press on. If it's more than you hoped, press on too. No excuses :) I got clear of the 200s last fall, and it feels good even though I've got much more to go. I was happy when I moved out of the "obese" category - next goal to get in the normal range. Keep at it.

When I'm traveling for work I ask the hotel for a mini fridge and micro if it's not already in the room (I say I'm on a special diet or food restrictions, true). I bring nuts and bars I like. Then first stop is a grocery store or even a target with food. I walk or take a taxi/uber. I just buy sturdy produce (apples, mini…

Great! Keep it up!
