I have grey skies and snow when I look out. It's like my world is shades of grey, brown and white right now. I can't wait for summer!

This morning my kitty, Blitz, sprawled out on her back and let me give her tummy raspberries (aka zerberts) while she kneeded my cheek and purred like a maniac. The warm fur, purring and happy kitty just gave me such a boost. The kitties have given me so many smiles!

THIS made me happy inside. I've had similar struggles with my son, so it's wonderful to see someone else see victory!

ALSO ALSO lifts heavy circles lol

Breakfast, lunch and supper are just labels, sounds like yummy food to me! and Ice Cream for lunch is a total win! As for beauty... you may be right, but my feelings tell me I prefer to like beauty for beauty sake rather than because biologically it's logical. LOL. It's all about my feelings. I'm sure of it...

That almost brought me to tears, Gus. Thank you. ❤️

This breakup has hit me hard. Add that to my eldest's chronic illness and my youngest's mental health issues and some days the weight is almost too heavy to carry. That's pretty much the reason I lift weights. It's a physical reminder that I can carry this load. But some days.. it's just so damn heavy. The relationship was…

Holy lord, that's a lot to take in one day. So glad your son is ok, but the rest... ugh. Big hugs
-
It all depends on my mood. LOL I haven't been feeling that playful in a while. *shrugs* and who said I make sense? LOL that was your first mistake! HAHAHA

I'm with @nossmf... The major compound lift should be first (i.e. Deadlift, barbell squats, bench) then move to the rest. Either way, the workout looks killer! :)

Reminds me of this one... It was - 40 out and my cup had freshly boiled water in it. And then, for fun... note: -40 and no mittens and jacket is not zipped up. LOL #IAMCANADIAN

I do need to do a better job of dressing warm and taking time to change. The gym is less than 5 mins from my home, so I often leave the gym in my workout clothes and just change / clean up at home. But I tell you... -20C on a pair of damp tights is akin to self inflicted torture. Might as well just sit on an ice block! My…

This sounds like so much fun! We have a place about half an hour from me that does wall climbing and has bouldering walls. It's been ages since I went, but I sure enjoyed it. I am sure I'd probably do a lot better now, what with the grip strength from lifting and the bendiness from yoga lol. Thank you for sharing this!…

Thank you both! I realized this morning that it's definitely harder for me to work out when it's cold and dark outside. I HATE feeling cold, so the idea of going outside, cleaning snow off the car, driving there, changing... and then after the workout, going back into the cold while still sweaty... It all just makes me…

I got it done!

I am at the gym right now, but dear lord, I did not want to come. It's taking a lot of self discipline to not curl up on the couch and just sleep for years. Still... I'm riding my bike for half an hour almost every day and lifting 2x a week. I'm hoping the fire comes back. Until then... #neverthelessshepersisted

My main workout was last night... I did barbell bench press, deadlifts, leg press, leg extensions, seated leg curls, and assisted pull ups and dips. Tonight I'll do 30 mins on the exercise bike. :)
-
That is incredible! What were you doing to burn all that!?!
-
You're too kind @nossmf  . I too am tall (6'1), so I hide the weight pretty well, but my scale confirmed this morning that I am indeed 201lbs.
-
That is awesome! I look forward to seeing your progress. My best ever was like... 2 and a half. LOL. And that was when I was attacking them like crazy. I just find them REALLY hard. (And now I'm another 15lb heavier sigh)
-
They're excellent exercises! HARD, but excellent. Funny enough, I find that Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns are about equivalent for me to using the assisted pull up machine (i.e. the weight moved and reps are about equal). Banded pullups are much harder, but probably because I weigh so much (200lb), they don't offset the weight…

Unfortunately this thread won't help you much. :( You might want to try reaching out to customer support to see if they have any suggestions (or if they'll at least refund you the membership fee if it's not usable). Or, do what I had to do and get stronger glasses. (#feelingold)

That's awesome!!! (And TOTALLY GIF worthy)

You inspire the heck out of me! I look at your posts and committment, eating habits... and just plain awesomeness and I want to be like you when I grow up! Don't ever doubt your impact! <3

That is such a cool story. I do often tend to bail before I probably need to, but last night I didn't have the failure bars because there were two guys in the gym each squatting reps with 4 plates on each side. I kind of felt like I needed to push through. Plus I know I have it in me, if I'm not lazy. LOL I cannot get over…
-
Thanks Chris! Thanks Gus! It felt pretty good overall :) May play around a bit from week to week with reps / sets / weight, but at least this is some kind of work, and I definitely feel it. Though I sure could use a nap. zzzzzzzzzz

Just focusing on getting to the gym regularly for now... Doing a total body ish set. Moving decent volume and still getting in bench, squat, deads and ohp. Felt better today than Sunday, so maybe my body won't hate me too long for neglecting it! Lol
-
Good work Gus! You have a lotta plates on that bar! You're killing it!

I tried that first, in the thought that if I just did that and some accessories 2x a week, I'd still keep the lifts going and not lose ground. But it's just too many sets and time after you warm up to heavy weight. I am still trying to figure what i want to do for my workouts, but now Im leaning towards bench/squats and…
