The one was my son and it was self inflicted. 😔 He's getting help, but it feels like it's taking so long. The other was my mom, and we thought it might be pancreatic cancer based on the symptoms, pain and labs. Thankfully no tumours were found, so it is probably pancreatitis. They both hit within 24h and while I was…

This has been a horrible week. Two family members in the ER in two days. No sleep. So many tears. In the end they'll both live to see more days. Still.. My heart is hurting, and tired. So very tired.

Thanks Chris. 😊

I hate BSS. They hurt my feelings. But they are so very effective. Sigh. So I do them anyways.

This makes me so very happy to read!! ❤️

I have been struggling with some emotional stuff. It's had me feeling weepy, angry, and wanting to eat comfort food in the comfort of my pj's. I have NOT wanted to go to the gym to do week 7 day 2 squats at 95% of 1rm. Not. At. All. Granted, I have been using a value of 210lb for squats even though my best was 1 at 240,…

I was in a bad mood til I saw these posts. Damn. You're killing it. I've been avoiding squats this weekend. Maybe this is the kick in the *kitten* I needed.
-
and if they are anything like my kitties, they promptly vacated the yoga mat and you were then able to use it (if that is what you were hoping to do! haha)

Is the question "do I snuggle the floof?" if so, the answer is YES. And blow raspberries on their tummy.

having to work for a living. lol. Like seriously... why can't life be free? I'm tired and want a nap.

I loved my power rack with the side supports. It allowed me to squat and press to failure without fear of injury. (As a single mom who worked out when the kids were sleeping, I needed to feel safe). I was also able to use it for band assisted chinups and banded leg presses. I bought a lot of my weights used off kijiji /…

I will give it a try, then! (after I watch form vids on YouTube and here) Thanks Chris. 😊

Thank you!!

hahahaha they're crushing better than ever these days!

I feel you on the sleep. the night before last I got 4.5h and didn't get to the gym until 9pm. I was tired going in, so I'm not surprised I felt gassed on my lifts. I'm also finding that i see a difference when I'm hydrated vs not. Sleep, water and protein are all significant contributors to my success, and yet I seem to…

I'm supposed to do these, but I have never tried them, so I wuss out and just do DB flies on the bench. I really need to woman up and try them out. Though, they look like they burn. haha

This is 3 sets of 10 @ 100lb
-
On week seven of my program so all my lifts are at 95% of max. This is 125lbx2. I am a bit bummed that I didn't get 3, but it was late and I was tired.

@kinetixtrainer2 awesome work! If you think anyone will complain about you flooding this thread with gifs, you are seriously mistaken! haha I can't imagine being able to get to the gym 6x a week. No wonder you're so shredded. Thanks for sharing!

YOU ARE KILLING IT! 6 years? that's awesome <3

you are not alone. not sorry. hahaahahahaaha

sigh. forever a fan. what can I say. lol

They say that deloads are good every 6-12 weeks. Depending on how hard you're pushing (i.e. to failure?), you could need more. I find that as I get older, and because I focus on powerlifts, I need at least a couple days between similar muscle group work. I often go 2-3 days in between. The key is to listen to your body...…

You know... The more I see this particular gif, the more I think that his legs look like moulded plastic when he contracts. You could EASILY be an action figure in the flexed pose. Just saying. I would totally want a Chris action figure. Especially in his uniform. Ok, I'm leaving now. hahaha
-
Following. I haven't quited figured out how to do this either, or whether I need to, since my program drops back to reps at 75% of 1rm at the beginning of the cycle. It's almost like a built in deload.
-
I first read that as boner. Oi.
-
@kinetixtrainer2 solid lifts as always. Just seeing the walking lunges makes my legs shake lol
-
Oh, I am pretty sure I have it. I am just starting week 7 and then I will do the 1rm tests. I am trying very hard to wait til week 8. haha This week all my lifts are 3 sets of 2+ reps at 95%. We'll see how that goes!
