  • I haven't made actual friends at the gym, probably because I'm not trying to. WHen I first started I was super self conscious and guilty of judging the people on the weight floor with me, which is ridiculous because I was afraid they'd judge me in turn. I fully admit I assumed these were mean people because they looked…
  • If I eat a lot of junk, I'm less satiated. So I usually eat too much. And then it spirals. I try to keep junk foods lower just because I tend to go overboard. But I work a treat into all my days just because I like it and I can.
  • Yeah I'm 26. My goal right now is another 115lbs to go.
  • You know, I feel the same way a lot of the time. I've lost 12lbs but knowing I have so much more to go makes it feel like nothing. And honestly, the first 2 qweeks I was logging I felt hungry all the time. But it wasn't that I was hungry, it was that I was cranky about logging, feeling deprived even though I wasn't, that…
  • I'm a 6' female and when I was in Shanghai people kept wanting to take pictures with me haha
  • What is your daily activity level set to? Walking can burn extra calories but it really isn't all that much. Especially if you have it set to active or lightly active, the adjustment wouldn't be all that high. How many steps do you do on an average day?
  • I don't have advice yet because I Just committed to one for next summer ( I was going to do this year but a broken bone this past winter set me back). All I can say is you've got it! It's fantastic that you're doing it at all and I support you!
  • What flavor was it? 'Cause it's worked for me everytime I've done snickerdoodle or chocolate chip
  • Wait what is a pulse ox to you? Because I have a pulse ox and it's literally a thing that measures my heartbeat and oxygen saturation through my finger. I use it for my anxiety. My nurse coworkers use theirs to check patients.
  • I dunno I wear cooling shirts under my scrubs since I have to cover my full sleeve tattoo and I find that I'm still overheated all the time.
  • It doesn't matter. I can't work out after eating cause I will straight up hurl it right back out but hey whatever floats your boat.
  • That's not really possible or healthy or a goal you should want to have.
  • Where do you live because I want to go to there. I'm a 6' woman and got ridiculed constantly for my height. My husband is 5 inches shorter than me and you'd think I'd have slapped someone's kid people get so upset when they see us together.
  • Is there a reason you *need* to get down that fast? I mean, you have a lot to lose so it's usually a little easier to lose faster in the beginning, like I lost 10.2 the first month starting at 328 and 6' tall but it slowed a lot down this week and I figure it'll stay slow from here on out. It's all how much you eat…
  • I think people lose track of what healthy actually looks like because so many people are overweight to some degree. So far this has worked in my favor because I'm 6' and everyone thinks I'm a liar when I state my body weight.
  • I'm younger but a female and I started lifting while I was really heavy. In the past year I have been lifting I haven't lost weight until recently but I lost about a clothing size just from lifting but admittedly not paying attention to food till about a month ago (which is when I totally started losing weight). I LOVE…
  • So, honestly, about 4 years ago I lost a lot of weight by calorie counting and went mental with it. Had to stop. Gained it all plus some. Got in therapy. Spent a year in therapy maintaining before I could even think about logging again. A few month just writing what I ate. Then finally back on MFP and it's going ok. I know…
  • I will say I struggle with knowing where the line is, with this. I'm big. So very big. But I have no health issues at all to speak of (bloodwork is great blood pressure great etc.) yet. I know it's a yet so I'm working on it. But I also struggle to appreciate my body as it is. I have issues looking at myself and actually…
  • I'm 6' and I currently wear 22s in most pants at 317.7lbs.
  • I'm also a 6' female that's awesome. I currently weight 317.7lbs down from 328. I'm in US size 22, sometimes 20 depending on cut and material(which I googled to be approx. close to uk size 26). BUT 4 years ago I had been 307 and was a bigger size, I think because I lift a lot now as compared to last time I lost weight. So…
  • Occasionally I prelog. Like if I know I'm cooking for dinner for my husband and I, I'll log the dinner so I know what to do with the rest of my day. But otherwise, no, because I'm a child and I don't like being told what to do even if it's myself. It's just psychological. I'll bring food to work, planned for my day, but if…
  • I eat a lot of "processed" foods because it's easier sometimes honestly. I'm working on adding more produce and stuff but whatever, I stay under calories and I lose weight. I add crystal lite to my water most of the time. I use the pure because it's got no aspartame and the aspartame gives me headaches so it's like 10…
  • If anyone is willing to donate me money I'd be willing to test this hypothesis. For science. For real, though, I eat worse when I have less $ because dollar menus are a thing.
  • Dude, it might be a while. I broke my pinkie toe on 2/4/17. Not a big deal, right? Nope! Massive fracture, had surgery, pins it it for MONTHS, walking boot. It was terrible. I lost all my ankle flexibility because I was not allowed to do standing lifts and was uneven on the hips due to the shoe. When I was finally released…
  • I only like honey roasted and I find that the calorie counts of a handful of honey roasted peanuts is not worth it to me most days so I don't eat them. I'd also eat ALL of them if I bought a container so there's that.
  • I cannot take a preworkout because the caffeine concentration is too high and I get heart flutters and rosatia. I just make sure I'm fueled properly before my lifts, stay hydrated. I fail lifts sometimes but I highly doubt a preworkout would have gotten me through the things I've failed.
  • Well like...what's painless for one person isn't for another so there's not much else to add to this convo without more details? My knees hurt if I jog, so I don't. I get sore from lifting sometimes but not painfully so. Stretching, yoga, walking. Lighter variations of other workouts.
  • Started at 328, an all time high for me as a 6' tall f. I will say, though, that because I've been lifting for a year even though 328 was the highest I've ever been, I was in the same clothing size as I was when I had hit a previous high of 307 about 4 years ago so there's that. I'm down just about 10lbs in 3 weeks…

  • I've never seen this because I filter out the just for fun boards, which is where people are perfectly entitled to do that kind of thing. And honestly why not meet someone from a site where you *know* you have common interests with someone? We're all on here to make better choices, right, so that's one thing in common…
