Okay. I am not the expert. For me, I went low carb/keto cold turkey. Less than 20 grams carbs a day from the start. The weight poured off of me. It was the best way... for me. It is what kept me going. I am 5 feet 8 inches and weighed 256 in the beginning. 1200-1500 calories a day might be a huge deficit to accomplish. See…

I had to go by what worked and works for me. All folks are different. I aim for 1800 calories. Such a huge deficit according to some, but I don't get hungry. The weight has come off pretty regular. No use in making myself eat more.

I use a meter for ketones and blood glucose. I have checked blood glucose probably 5 times in last 3 months. It has always been fine. Ketones in urine numbered 40 the day they tested urine.

Many thanks for the info people. I quit logging my food on MFP a little over a week ago. I feel I am doing okay. Just not eating as much. Probably not as much fat either which is not a good thing. Probably more protein than I need which is also not a good thing. Thanks again.

@ProCoffeenator ... The getting on and off and in the buff. That is me too. I purchased mine from Amazon. Their top seller was only 23 bucks. I get on then off then on then off.. you get the idea. It weighs the same each time unless their is some bathroom activity in there somewhere.

Man, I am telling you right now. I love me some apple cider vinegar. I drink that stuff straight. I could down the entire bottle in a day or two if I wasn't scared it would pickle my insides. I recall having some Russell Stover candy given to me about a year ago. I am not sure of the ingredients, but it made me a very unhappy person. My digestive system was even unhappier than me. I only ate two pieces. But never again.
