Cleared to run by physiotherapist today, but told to restart the program again as a precaution. Gah! Am I ever going to get this finished?

Glorious day today - went for W1D3 in the local forest - and discovered they do a 5k parkrun which was on this morning. Something to keep in mind when we're ready!

W1D2 down - found a disused coast road that's been cordoned off and disused for about 10 years to run on... a good place for Zombies Run as it looks like a scene from The Last of Us - how quickly nature takes over. Stunning view of the bay too

Well done everyone! I've started again at week 1 - and may repeat it a few times before moving on this time to avoid the Achilles issue. It may take me 8months instead of weeks but I'll get there!

I think I will - my calf muscles and left Achilles' tendon felt tight as hell after just resuming my normal walk to work and back yesterday

Well done! I'm hoping to get back to it at the weekend now my foot/tendon is better. Debating whether to go back to week 2 as I've had a week off - has anyone else been benched by injury? If so, should you dial back a week rather than continuing where you left off?

Welcome! And well done for starting. Sadly we'll probably be in sync as I'm going to have to take a few days off - my tendon issue has flared to the point of pain just walking now - had to hobble home from work today :# Hoping a few days off will fix it - keep going everyone - I'll catch you up...!

Thanks! :) And yes, I've done everything 'properly' so I guess it's just a weakness - hopefully it will go away with time if I don't exacerbate it

W3D1 done - felt like hard work though! Increasingly sore tendon is a worry- may have to ramp the step count down for a couple of days to compensate and see if that helps any

Well done everyone! I'm planning W3D1 tonight, despite still having a niggle in my left Achilles' tendon... hoping it's nothing - it seems to go away with exercise and stiffen up when not used
