I also say start the lifting routine & enter a caloric surplus. My shake usually is ...old fashioned oats, banana, frozen berries, peanut butter, whey protein. 500-600 calories down in no time. It works for me.

Which part of Omaha? I'm in SW Omaha - Prairie Queen Rec Area and Wehrspann Lake have walking/biking trails along the perimeter. The trail around Wehrspann was about 6.5 miles and Prairie Queen is maybe 4? I am not 100% sure on that. You may want to look at the Papio Trail & Keystone Trail for walking/biking as well. The…

For me it was larger quantities of oats, rice and potatoes. I love rice. Some pasta and bread when it worked out.

Get yourself a bean grinder and the quality will go up. There's a couple bean shops here in omaha that have great stuff.

I usually backload my calories for the end of the day. This allows me more flexibility and enjoyment while I am at home at night. Typical start to the day is a bowl of oats made with water/unsweetened almond milk with 1/2 scoop syntha 6. This is 285 calories and it keeps me full for hours. I always have black coffee too…

If you have the time & grill prepping chicken/fish once a week is huge and sets me up for lunch at work. I always do 6-8 chicken breasts at a time and put potatoes/rice and veggies on the side. I also keep tuna creations packets in my desk - a little pricy but good protein and easy.
