Protein oatmeal/porridge

Hey, so I found these little pots of protein oats by a brand called Oomf (about 250 cals and 20g of protein per serving) and they are delicious but expensive to buy. Does anyone have a recipe for oat meal/porridge with added protein that I can make myself for roughly the same amount of calories?

Thanks

I use any lower calorie oatmeal (Quaker and OatFit mostly) and add nonfat dry milk powder. Not quite as low in calories or high in protein as your example but close and a heckuva lot cheaper!

    Protein add-ins:

Make your oatmeal with milk instead of water. OR stir in protein powder (half a scoop) after your oats are cooked. Quaker sells Weight Control Oatmeal (pretty cheap) but it's got soy protein and has a weird aftertaste.

    Found this.......
Cook your oatmeal in high protein milk. Skim milk or soy milk (if you avoid dairy) are your best bets. ...
    Add egg whites. ...
Stir in cottage cheese when it is done cooking. ...
Add ground flax, chia seeds, or hemp seeds. ...
Add a scoop of nut or seed butter on top.

I like chopped nuts, not so much for protein but fats are filling (to me).

My favorite recipe actually uses oat bran - it comes out fluffy and slightly nutty
Boil 1c water, add in 1/3c oat bran and stir, turn heat to lowest setting, very quickly using a whisk whip in 2 egg whites on at a time - stirring until you don't see the white any longer, let it simmer another minute and shut heat off. Stir in a scoop of your fav protein powder - I use optimum nutrition vanilla creme. Top with cinnamon or bluberries. Makes an enormous bowl for abou 250-300 cal depending on the protein powder, 3g fat, 30 carbs, 9g fiber and 37g protein.
