  • Wedding dresses notoriously run very small! Also, it's better to have a larger size because it's much easier for them to take it in than to let it out. I know it's hard when you are feeling emotional about the number and size (been there!), but just try to focus on the fact that it will fit you perfectly on the day and…
  • Pizza...I think me and za might be soulmates.
  • Right now, I'm doing well with salads: chopped spinach, raw vegetables, mixed beans, maybe some cheese or cous cous or a meat, and a light dressing. All measured of course! In a pinch, I'll just do a can of vegetable soup - cheap and filling. Granted, it's lots of sodium, but it's also got 2 servings of veg and is…
  • Hi! I know your title says you 'plan' but what does that involve? Perhaps consider actually logging in what you will eat. That takes the guess work out. I have been pre-logging the entire week on the Sunday and it helps take away any guess work. I don't have to make the hard decisions when I am hungry or tempted. I know…
  • You might be very surprised with how much of a difference 10 pounds can make. I am much shorter than you (5'4'') and the difference in how I feel between 140 and 130 for me is HUGE. At 140, I feel a little chubby (healthy, but a little chubby). At 130, I feel legit slim. So, give it a go and see how you feel. Even a…
  • I am seriously considering upping mine to 1,800 total, as well. I am currently on 1,600 total with 10 lbs to lose and exercise 4-6 times per week. I know it might slow down loss but the lag in my energy levels at a lower amount impacts negatively on my outputs (e.g. exercise). It's hard because I want to see scale…
  • @arditarose Ditto the above comment! I've always lurked on your profile and comments (same starting weight and height) and find your journey really inspirational. I hope life gets sunnier soon. x
  • I support all of the posters that say you should consider re-enlisting some sort of professional guidance. As a case study, I started this go around at exactly your weight and height and I am losing comfortably on 1,650 calories and similar exercise levels. 1,200 would be way too low for me. Also, 5'4'' and 140 lbs is…
  • If you like structure and guidance and working out from home, I highly recommend FitnessBlender.com....amazing workout videos and 100% free! I use them all of the time and love them! You can specify and search by time of workout, duration, level of difficulty, etc. Good luck
  • I am in week 9 of the first round. I did not pay for the guide. It's hard to describe how I feel about the programme. I had been exercising like 4-6 times per week for years before starting BBG and I still find the BBG workouts extremely challenging - sometimes in a good way but sometimes not in a good way. For instance,…

  • I totally know how you feel. Camera angles matter SO much and being caught at the wrong angle can be quite unflattering. Check out the two photos below...taken within seconds of each other. I think one is much more flattering than the other.
