I'm 5'1" and very active. I currently weigh 117 pounds and am working on a few more vanity pounds. I lose on around 1700-1800 calories a day.

Easier to shave my legs, but harder to shave my armpits. There's an actual pit to navigate into now. Same. And since I wear pretty expensive shoes to deal with arthritis issues in my feet, replacing them has been pricey! I have not hesitated to make a leg-crossing spectacle of myself. :p

That is one of my favorite flavor combinations too, and I have zero problems eating toddler food. Heck, I wear hand-me-downs from my kids! I'm going to pick some of those up next time I go shopping.

Nothing fancy... my favorite green is collards.

Have them, have had them since puberty, and know that recomp and patience is the only chance of getting rid or at least minimizing them.

I strength trained throughout my weight loss. Still have lots of loose skin.

Question here... what do you consider to be a slow rate of weight loss? Perhaps your expectations are unrealistic?

The NHS is promoting a clinically supervised 800 calorie diet as an emergency intervention for Type 2 Diabetes. This is different than what you outlined in your first post. Medically supervised VLC diets are undertaken as emergency temporary measures only and since they're supervised and monitored by physicians for signs…

This is key for me too. Getting into food ruts has always just been a way of eating for me (I legit ate the same thing for lunch every day for 4 years while I was in high school), and I married a man and had children who are the same way! Realizing that the ruts would lead me into hitting a wall of boredom and frustration…

I'm 5'1" and currently 118. I'd like to be maybe 115, maybe 110. I'll stop when I'm satisfied that the fat pockets in my thighs have emptied enough :p I'm not in any rush because this is just window dressing at this point. I started out at 210. Having said that, I know that years of recomp are ahead of me, no matter what…

I have some vegetables that I roasted that I'm serving it with. Cauliflower is one of them. Since I already knew I was eating it with more veggies, I didn't add any more to the dish itself, but that's a good idea to make it a one pot meal in the future. Because I will be making it again.

I gave up trying ages ago, but was tempted when I saw (and checked with Fakespot that they were legit) the reviews for America's Test Kitchen gluten free baking books. If I were ever going to try again, that's what I'd use. I was diagnosed as a celiac so long ago that I'm really wore myself out with substitutes long ago…

Was doing some meal prepping and tried this DASH-friendly (if you use low-sodium canned goods) recipe. Very yummy, very easy. I cooked it for a lot longer than the instructions indicated to let it reduce a bit and for more flavor development. I was surprised how flavorful it was for how little seasoning was involved. Oh,…

"Inspo" or "Fitspo" or anything-po comes from a portmanteau of "inspiration" and "motivation". That's why it's "po" and not "pi.

What they are trying to say, but are saying awkwardly is that a keto person should: 1. Determine their overall caloric needs to eat at deficit. 2. Determine an appropriate amount of protein to eat based on .65 - .85 grams per pound of ideal body weight 3. Eat 20-50 grams of net carbs 4. Use the rest of the calories left in…

Yes, but with caveats. The original post was vague irt to how it all related to overall energy balance, and that's where the issue was I would wager. Saying: Outside of context literally sounds like you're advising a person to eat at caloric surplus. I assumed that the advice was rather that the PP was advising that, after…

Spring is a season of renewal, regardless of one's religious beliefs.

And even with pancakes, it depends how much breast tissue is in the pancakes and how much loose skin is in them. It really is just trial and error. I've had much better success on my own too.

This. Except I don't drink.

We're using it with with my son to help with anxiety while we're waiting for a doctor's appointment. It helps him focus a bit with concentration while he's doing school (we homeschool). It seems to help.

Fantastic! So glad you found something you're happy with.

I love veggies, but there are a few I'm not particularly fond of - beets, fennel, parsnips, chard (because it tastes like beets), and zucchini is just okay. I cook for a household of people who basically don't like many veggies except salad veggies, and I don't handle raw veggies well due to IBS. So, I tend to keep things…

Yeah, body type and how your breasts are placed/sit (and how your breast tissue is distributed) will for sure affect how well a bra will work for someone! The irony of you posting that the Freya's didn't work for you is that I've tried Panache, and they just look TERRIBLE on me and don't work at all. :p It's taken me a lot…

Even with using this excellent calculator and wearing the correct size bra, some bra styles just don't work if you have a lot of excess skin. I'm a 30FF now, and though many bras in that size come in styles that are low cut and available in one-hook closures that sweep low under the arm, those don't work well for me due to…

I have three three autoimmune diseases. Turmeric is in a glucosamine supplement I take. I tend not to notice pain unless it's very, very bad since I have a high tolerance for it, so can't really say how effective it is. As far as dietary approaches are concerned, Med-style diets have also been shown to decrease…

QFT. You know, this is one of the reasons I actually love going to the dentist. My hygienist has maintained a 75 pound loss for 30 years, including through two pregnancies. She watched my lose my weight, and enjoys our discussions as much as I do. I'm so thankful to her for all of her insights.

This is an unsafe weight loss plan and honestly should never have made it into the public domain. The only SAFE way to eat 800 calories daily for prolonged periods is due to strict medical necessity under intense doctor supervision. Online coaching doesn't cut it.

I have Hashimoto's and I'm going to be blunt. The most it should affect your RMR is about 5%. You can mitigate that, even if you're not properly medicated, by being a bit more active in your daily activity. There is a possibility that if you're not properly medicated you will retain quite a bit of water weight, but nothing…

Yes, this exactly. Additionally, I really am not going to lose any sleep whatsoever over eating ultra-processed protein bars because I think in the context of my overall diet and lifestyle (or anyone's), the point isn't how much something is processed, it's how much you're eating, and how balanced your overall nutrition…

Although I'm not formally doing this along with all of you, I am incorporating some aspects like aiming to get more fiber and I was already working on incorporating more beans. One grain I've been eating more is quinoa. I find it makes a nice addition to my "concoction/stew/soup" type meals that include beans/veg/canned…
