Single serving containers and snack size baggies are your best friend. Fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, lean cuisine or smart ones are ok in a pinch. Frozen meals from the store are not ideal because of sodium and artificial junk, but good when you don't have time. Really I just make time. It's just all about how bad do you want…

I already log everyday and am watching my macros closer. Lifting weights is my exercise of choice, but I do cardio too. This year I plan to be much better on the macros, down 30 pounds, and working on body sculpting and building muscle. I will improve my weight lifting schedule and add more cardio variety.

You are all welcome to add me too. [post edited by staff]

Merry Christmas! Gotta love hotels with fitness rooms! Oh and my Fitbit! Hope you all are getting a jump on the new year and your goals!

Found it. Thanks.

Still getting over being sick, but much better. Now to get back on track with exercise! Really can't wait to go on vacation in a few days!
-
Get it done! We aren't getting any younger here! Lol cold temps stink! Love having my gym in the basement! Legs and bum day done! Now to get in cardio!
-
Kill it in the gym!

That will make home that much sweeter.

Rest day today. Back at it tomorrow!

Everyone is different. I have before and had no problem. Maybe it's due to all the water I drink, or vitamins, dairy, and healthy oils. I did and do all of that because it's supposed to help that and so many other things. Or maybe it's just genetics. I just know that your health is worth it either way. One fitness trainer…

@mysticlizard hope you enjoy 5x5. You just start where you need to and go from there. We all have a starting point. For some things I use dumbbells as I don't have a spotter. Safety first!
-
Nope, but now I want to!

Good to know this about potassium. That's where I was low on here, but I do eat healthy, so I'm probably fine based on that.
-
I love my wraps! You can really put anything in them. I always include protein, and lots of veggies!
-
My goal is weight loss, but I want to do some sculpting too. That will take more focus on muscle groups.
-
@mysticlizard I liked the StrongLifts 5x5 to start. It progresses you pretty fast. I decided to do more though. Depending on your goals that might be a good one for you. I did it and added more exercises to it as for me I didn't feel it was quite enough.
-
I would love to try that! Looks like so much fun!
-
@mysticlizard I started with the 5x5, and now I'm still doing those same lifts, but focus on different muscle groups everyday. My schedule is crazy, so it's not the same time daily that I would like, but it's working. I also try to get 30 minutes of cardio in after the weights at least.
-
Nothing silly about that! You start where you are. Some years back I used those because someone gave them to me with resistance bands. They were great and I lost weight. I also love my yoga meltdown DVD, Pilates, and step aerobics. It's good to mix it up and try new things. I used to get a new one every 10 pounds.

Way to improvise! Leaving the end of the month to LA for a few weeks to see my sister in law. I will have to get creative. Those kids will most likely become my weights! Time to play airplane with Auntie Shelly!

Sounds like a beautiful day!

True you can't spot reduce, but I would encourage weight training to sculpt lean muscle to be revealed as you lose the weight. When the weight does come off you will uncover that fabulous muscle like a buried treasure! Love that feeling! Plus muscle burns fat!

Anyone here got your December goals in mind? I plan to be 5 lbs more down, switch up the cardio with step aerobics/ elliptical, and stay on point with my macros. Also looking to fine tune my weightlifting routine better. Need a workable plan for exercising during vacation at the end of the month. That will be tough! I…

Great goals everyone! Always love seeing everyone posting here. December goals for me are, to lose 5 more pounds, fine tune my weightlifting routine, mix up my cardio with step aerobics and elliptical, and stay on point with my macros. Have a fabulous day everyone!

Shoulders and chest today! Done!
-
Go, enjoy the day, and celebrate the happy couple. Then get it together and do this!
-
Back to weights for me today! Have a great day everyone!
