I have a better mind set on what I am going to do to make healthier snack choices. I also, know that it is o.k. to indulge in a yummy treat once in a while. without feeling guilty. Thanks again everyone. :)

Thanks everyone! I do pretty well, most days. I guess it isn't bad to enjoy goodies once in a while. I'm sure we all occasionally have days like that. :)

O.k. thanks. I don't know why , but I feel so bad when I do this. I exercise every day, so I guess I feel that when I eat like this, it makes me feel that I haven't accomplished anything for the day, even though I did exercise. :(

I have the same problem , as well. I always carry a handkerchief when I walk and jog.

Yes, you can lose weight, by just walking. I'm sure it is good to do other exercises, but I usually just walk or jog. Also,make sure you are eating healthy. Many people think you have to be on a diet to lose weight, but If you eat healthy and use portion control. You can stick to this regimen for life.

My husband and I went grocery shopping and I bought healthy snacks. Clementines, fresh spinach, 97% free turkey breast,fresh baby carrots etc,I am trying to keep the bad snacks out of our house. If it is there, We will eat it.

I will continue the low cholesterol diet, as well as exercising daily. I probably won't be checked again for another 6 months, unless a problem would arise. I hope this will help my numbers. If this does not help, as some of you have said, It could possibly be genetic. If so, then cholesterol medicine may be what I need to…

I have heard nothing but bad things about cholesterol medications,leg pain, joint pain etc. Could this possibly be true for some patients. Does this medication affect you in any way?

Thanks again everyone. My cardiologist told me that if I eat: fish, chicken,turkey and lots of fruit and veggies that I would be fine. He said that I was allowed one egg a week. My triglyceride number was : 69 The range was 0-149. So, isn't this number low? I am trying to cut out some of the red meats and sweet goodies , also. Thank you all so much for the information. :)

Thanks everyone. I walk daily, at least 3 -7 miles a day. I feel I get enough exercise, but my husband and I do like steak and pork loin. We are doing well , when using portion control, but I will try to substitute beef and pork for skinless chicken or turkey. Maybe this will help. Any other ideas would be appreciated.…
