  • Hello, I have an open diary if you are interested in keto/low carb options. I aim to keep my macros for the day at 70% fat 25% Protein and 5% carbs.I have seen a significant drop in my overall hunger and desire for sweets. I have lost close to 10lbs since the beginning of the month. Feel free to add me to take a look!

  • I deal with upper and lower back twinges all the time from the ballistic vest and duty belt at work, adds an extra 40lbs not perfectly even. I see a chiropractor on a regular basis to keep everything in line. So firstly I would recommend finding a chiropractor to see what may be bothering you. As for upper back stretches,…
  • Welcome! Like @jackblack0909 said, fitting in your workout first thing in your day, helps you avoid skipping it later in the day from fatigue or lack of time, also when you work out early on, you tend to make better meal choices throughout the day because you become more cognizant about the progress you have made that day.…
  • Welcome! I have used MFP on and off, each time I use it I see results, so I am hoping to make it a habit that I do not stop on this go around. FR sent!
  • Welcome, One thing that I have come to enjoy more when I diet, is how much better certain foods taste when it comes time for a cheat meal. Eating clean and then after a few weeks having something that you maybe had frequently before, it either no longer is appealing or tastes extra good!
  • FR sent! Where you hiding that 40lbs? haha
  • breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, I usually stick to omelettes, I will make a 3 egg omelette, 1/3 cup of shredded cheese, 1/3-1/4 cup of diced ham, sometimes I will add peppers and onions too. Just the eggs ham and cheese comes to 390 calories and is rather filling.
  • @usmcmp thanks for the clarification!

  • Depends on your goals and needs. Some people don't like training with the carb deprivation due to a decrease in workout performance. There are also different variations of LC diets. I am using the keto diet which trains your body to use fat for fuel. I have had good results so far and have noticed increased energy and I…

  • Welcome aboard! I just started last week as well. One of my co-workers has been on keto for months with great success. What he has been doing is watching his macros 75%fat 20%protein 5%carbs. I have been sticking to those macros and it has been working so far. I have also been adding fasted cardio every other morning to…
  • Will power is a HUGE element of seeing results! I can have hard times refraining at social gatherings where there is plenty of food left out to graze on. But I have now started making it a game to stay on track, and furthermore learning more and more about how a lot of common processed foods are bad for you and just…

  • Welcome! Plateaus are rough, usually when I hit one, I mix up both my workout routine and my diet for a short period of time. So if you are just using a calorie deficit, maybe when you hit a plateau, throw in a few low carb days with some HIT cardio to confuse your metabolism. Then once you make some progress again go back…
  • Welcome! FR sent! I've just started the Keto diet with great success so far. I have tried calorie deficit before and I often would fall off the wagon due to being hungrier more often. I've noticed now with the low carb and high fat my energy levels have risen and as I start to adapt to the diet I am not as hungry, and when…

  • Unless you are doing something like the keto diet just staying under your calories should work. I'm in the keto diet though so I've customized my macros to make sure I'm having the right amount of fat/protein/carbs. It is helpful when you need it, but don't stress about it unless you need it!
  • Welcome! Lots of information and helpful people on here. To add someone, click on their name next to the picture, it will bring you to their profile and will give you the option to add! Good luck!
