Good Morning Sober Squad. I don't like mondays but they are better without wondering what I did last night. Awfully dark early in the morning after the clock change. I'm grateful to be alcohol free to deal with the stock futures down as far as they are today. Normally I would be sitting here shaky with palpitations and a…

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29091513 A very respectable journal article on rats benefiting from ACV. If you know any overweight rats please inform them of the benefits!

After a bit of a "hiatus" I'm back. My motivating factor was a relative who had recently achieved a milestone high number of days of sobriety. Perhaps the same genetics that caused my problem can aid in the solution...Pardon me blaming genetics for anything but it's my nature (rather than nurture, LOL). Best wishes to all!!

Congrats to all who made the effort this month. For me it was a less damp January rather than dry but a welcome change. I also saved approximately ONE BILLION CALORIES. I'm probably the only one in the group to have calculated the number of calories in a half keg of stella vs. half keg of coors light. It's been tough…

I'm fascinated by how good I feel in the morning after not drinking. No pounding heartbeat of anxiety at what I might have done and don't remember, no stomach pain, no cottonmouth, no sweat soaked pillows, no trembling hands, no shame...Just the joy of a fresh cup of coffee. Yet alas, 4 pm hits and then my thoughts turn to…

Five sober nights in a row! I truly enjoyed looking in the mirror this morning and not seeing Frank Gallagher staring back at me. The crazy dreams I have been having are worth the price of admission. Good luck to all today!

Thanks to all for keeping this board busy! Here's my two cents. Best time of day while keeping dry is the morning when I don't feel like garbage. Worst time of day is when my internal clock says "ITS FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE". I've found that reading reduces my anxiety vs. watching TV. For my next trick: How to perform…

Thank you for posting! I've been battling this for decades. Take a look at Dr Kushners Personality Diet book. He talks about this in detail. As a matter of fact I'm going to pull it off the shelf right now.

I'm moving to Oregon, LOL. I would much prefer to see people with kids vaping vs. getting hammered on alcohol. Could you imagine if they entered the home and saw a bunch of empty beer cans on the coffee table? Not a word. They were just giving you a hard time because you "wasted their time".

Don't give up! Read Bingham's book the courage to start. Also the walk run method by Galloway is an amazing concept. The walk run method is supported by science to reduce injuries. Make sure you have proper footwear. Good Luck!

Reading the harry bosch series. Also listened to an audio book in the series which was cool bc the guy who plays bosch on the tv series provided the audio.
