  • I see, thanks for your input. We'll see. I lost the weight i had due to major calorie deficit, about 400 calories a day. Thankfully no side effexts such as fatigue or lightheaded, etc. I'm also taking CLAs now everyday.
  • By quick, I don't mean overnight. I mean I am looking for a routine that won't take a year or multiple years.
  • How does one figure out their body fat percentage withiut going to a special facility to get it measured?
  • I've lost 54 pounds since I've started my weight loss journey in mid-December. I know belly/hip fat is generally the last to go, but I feel like I keep losing weight and the mid-section weight stays the same. I'm trying to get rid of hip fat and belly fat.
  • Interesting. I guess I had the misconception that any dressing on salad was bad and unhealthy. I was just reading that asking for vinegar with no oil was a healthy option for dressing.
  • Thanks for all the answers. I've been eating the same things everyday for over a month, and I've lost 20 pounds. Eating the same everyday seems to be working for me. I've tried the Subway salad before, and I would get bored of them. But this time around, I have newfound willpower. Haven't touched any sweets or chips since…
  • The bowl is about 4 inches tall (I would fill it about 3 inches high with spaghetti). It's about 6-8 inches wide, tapering toward the bottom. That's the best I can describe it.
  • Do I need to count calories everyday if I am strictly eating the same thing every single day?
  • As I said, since I eat the same exact thing everyday, I counted the calories for that once and just use that as a reference. I do not stray from this meal plan, maybe some days I forget to eat the almonds, which I only eat a serving size (about 23 almonds). Absolutely no fast food either.
  • My problem is I have no idea what size the bowl is I would be using. I was thinking it shouldn't be holding enough to slow down my progress. I don't believe I am under eating. As I said, I feel much better, less bloating and gas. I just overall feel better.
  • I'm confident that going from sweets and chips, spaghetti and pizza, some fast food to what I'm doing now is much better. And of course, no soda whatsoever. Only water throughout the day, about 5 or so bottles.
  • I eat literally the same thing everyday. Believe it or not, it has been helping me lose weight and maintain discipline and willpower. I logged my exercise and food for one day, and I just look to that for reference since I eat the same thing everyday.
  • By the sound of it, I could cut out breakfast and/or dinner altogether and that would create a big enough deficit to start losing weight faster.
  • Trusting the packages at face value...thought that was what calorie counting was all about? Never heard about weighing food. From what I gather, calorie deficit is more important than anything and it doesn't matter what I eat.
  • I have looked up the calories before. I am taking in about 1600 calories per day since June 2nd, when I started this personal challenge.
  • It's hard to tell. I usually drink about 4 bottles of water every day. Before, I was eating about 2k calories a day, and I was staying around the same weight. I can't tell for sure if I have lost wait. If the scale says a number I haven't seen in years, I will know I am losing weight. I'm not saying 30+ pounds, more like 5…
  • A lot of people struggle with quitting sweet food. For them, all they can eat is sweet stuff. I manage to cut it out, but from what I am reading, it's not that big of a deal.
  • I'm pretty sure Stouffer's lasagna is MUCH better than what i was eating before. I even cut out cereal. Before, dinner would consist of either pizza, spaghetti or a chicken Alfredo skillet meal, big bowl of cereal, go through a bag of chocolates in a couple days, and medium blizzard for dessert. I would occasionally throw…
  • Well I know that the daily average is 2,000 calories. I was thinking around 1,500 calories a day. I stay away from scales because when I look at them, it makes me want to stop due to the scale telling me I've made no progress. I just joined MFP and will start trying to log my calories daily. I had to guess on the subway…
