Hands down has to be squats. I added 100 lbs. to my squat. I went from 135 lbs. in June 2016 to 235 lbs. in October 2017. Not bad for a 58 year old lol

Lots of processed foods and fast food.

I used to HATE plain Greek yogurt, but I started eating Fage, added frozen fruit and really love it now. It took me a few weeks to get used to it, but it has lots of protein, not a lot of fat/sugar. Just be careful and look at the ingredients/nutrition. A lot of them have lots of sugar and not much protein

I'm 5', lost 50+ lbs. and weighed 113 lbs. (photo on left), became a powerlifter a year later and did some bulking and put on 24 lbs. I used to weigh 105 lbs. for years and thought when I got down to 113, I would look great, but I kind of looked sickly but did love the muscle definition I got. I'm currently 145 lbs. but…

507 - ham, small serving of stuffing, 1/2 small sweet potato, green beans and some broccoli. I was full after eating that meal, had 2 tiny healthy snacks and only ate 1400 calories yesterday. No desserts, etc.

Gift cards or extra cash. My trainer is also my powerlifting coach. He attends most of my meets and I pay for his admission fees and give him extra cash to help pay for gas and sometimes gift cards. His training fee is extremely reasonable and does an excellent job of programming so I think he really deserves the extra…

I don't think you are eating enough. I remember when I was on a 1200 calorie diet for almost 2 years, I started feeling dizzy a few times while lifting after I lost over 50 lbs. Since I started eating more, I never feel dizzy and I have 2 heavy lifting days/week
-
Congrats you look awesome!

No, that's really not enough for a woman to eat :-1:

I drink at least a gallon of water daily. On a heavy lifting day, I can easily drink 40 oz. of water in an hour. The place I train at has no air conditioning and even in the winter, it can get hot in there. I ONLY drink water, no tea, no coffee, no milk, juice, etc. It's really only dangerous to drink lots of water if you…

5'0", 58 years old. I'm bulking so my calories are 2200. My maintenance calories are probably closer to 2000? I lift 4 days/week and do NO cardio. I never eat back my earned exercise calories.

I'm 58, only 5' tall and my caloric intake is 2200 calories. ZERO cardio, lift weights only 4x/week and that's pretty much maintenance calories for me. Two weeks ago, I went to Orlando for vacation and for a meet I was participating in. I ate out 6 days straight, multiple meals plus took a full week off doing NOTHING but…

I always have grilled chicken in the refrigerator. If I need more protein, I always have that to rely on. It's low in fat, calories and high in protein. I also like string cheese, protein bars and plain Greek yogurt

Lifting weights and eating clean

Don't waste your money on Herbalife. The only way to lose weight is to diet/exercise
-
Sometimes not eating enough will stall your weight loss. I was only eating 1200 calories and found out I was literally starving myself. I'm currently at 2200 calories and that's pretty much a maintenance diet for me

No, it's not impossible. I was 55 years old when I started my weight loss journey and lost over 50 lbs. I became a competitive powerlifter. It was actually much easier for me to lose weight when I got older than it was when I was in my 30's and 40's

Thank you! I just went up into the 72kg weight class

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Lrmxg1cuNw The best moment was my 297.6 lb./135 kg deadlift! This was an 11 lb. PR. My total for the meet was 639 lb., a 27 lb PR from Regionals in August
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tPKCb4TV2g I finally benched 110 lbs lol. That was a 5 lb. meet PR. 110.2 lbs/50 kg

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AT2_aUG7wM I missed placing at Raw Nationals by 2.5 kg :-( But I was very happy with all my lifts. I got meet PR's in squats and bench and got a PB in deadlifts and total. Here's my 231.5lb/105kg squat. This was an 11 lb. meet PR

New Update again lol Squat: 235 lbs. Bench: 115 lbs Deadlift: 297.6 lbs. 58 YO, 56.65 kg/144 lbs. Just got back from USAPL Raw Nationals and got an 11 lb. deadlift PR. I was going to try to hit 303 lbs., however, the 286.6 lbs. felt a little heavier than Regionals in August and I wanted to complete my 3rd lift, so I went…
