Yep I was in the same situation and found out I was literally starving myself @1200 calories and I'm only 5'. I did weight training 3-4x/week and very little cardio. It did some damage to my metabolism and took over a year for me to recover. I eventually bulked for over a year and my calories were 2200. I will never, ever…

There is a Texas Training 2x4 tapered belt. It's leather on the outside and suede on the inside. The back of the belt is 4" and tapers to 2" in the front. Leather belts are great in that you never have to break them in. I bought a leather belt 2 years ago and it's by far my favorite. My first one was suede and it literally…

Cold turkey. The only time I drink it now is when we eat out, but even then, I'll have a couple of sips and then I'm done. I never thought I would be able to stop drinking soda daily.

Tops - Under Armour Shorts - Feed Me Fight Me and Beast Worx. I've owned several pairs of shorts that I've worn/washed numerous times and they seem to last forever!

Yes I eat about 2 hours before my workout. I lift so I really need the food to fuel my energy

Squat rack, bench, deadlift platform and a good quality barbell (i.e., Texas Powerbar) and iron plates. Two things I would definitely skip are a treadmill and rowing machine. My rower is sitting in my living room, taking up space and collecting dust.

Yes I've had mine for a couple of years and it has worked fine. I synch it to my phone. The only time I had an issue with mine not synching, I changed the battery even though it wasn't showing I needed to, and it worked fine

The shoes you wear will make a HUGE difference in squatting. Also, you will need to find what stance works for you. I tend to squat with a wide stance and wear shoes with a .6" heel. And don't get hung up on squatting x amount of BW. Unless you have many years of competitive lifting under your belt, most lifters don't lift…

Doing 1200 calories for over a year did some damage to my metabolism. Took me months for my body to recover. Now 2000 is my maintenance and 1600 is my deficit

If you are lifting with USAPL make sure you wear deadlift socks! I can't tell you how many people at my first meet with them had to be told by the judges they need those socks. I gave away 2 pairs to the desperate lifters who didn't bother to read the rules. If you can go over commands with your PT that would be extremely…

Strength training has worked best for ME. I did almost exclusive cardio for 1 year and was constantly hungry. I did lose a lot of weight, but actually looked a bit sickly. Switched to almost all strength training and have been maintaining on 2000 calories and feel and look so much better. I only do minimal cardio for heart…
