Same as some others, I keep a gallon jug by my desk in the office and its gone by the end of the day. The weekends are harder....no tips except that as you likely know, it does make such a difference all around.

Discipline is Freedom. Like another poster said: the reality is we must JUST DO IT. Every choice we make either puts us closer to our desired outcome or it doesn't. Self care, self love, truth in choices and self talk....all those things are factors for me.

Good for you! I would suggest that you find a program to follow. I started with reading articles on bodybuilding.com which led me to Strong Lifts..and then on to others. Bodybuilding.com has great "plans" to follow under training on their website. Check it out! and You will NOT regret doing resistance training.

Been seriously under the weather for over a week so I dug deep last night and headed out the door for a walk...ended up jogging most of the way with some sprints in there....ended up at the gym....worked out for an hour and asked my husband to come pick me up. Had not intended any of it.. but it felt reallllllly life…

I hope to someday not rely on logging to keep myself accountable. My self induced plateau is due to inaccurate or sloppy logging so I am, again, trying to increase my diligence with it. I lost 80 pounds being honest with myself ....logging was part of that honesty

Just looked down at my office chair I am sitting in and there is tons of room on either side of my *kitten*....I can see the chair. Geez..... I really like that.

I have posted in here before I think but now 2 years into this I can add a refocus of my AH-HA. In February 2016 my daughter was several years into drug addiction....my husband and I are raising her 3 children. She came to the door one night in February to ask for food and to shower. It was so cold out and rainy so I let…

I think I heard a little voice in my head yesterday at the gym telling me...."go ahead add more weight...what are you waiting for...."sometimes I look at my 53 year old self standing in front of that DL bar wondering wtf are you thinking.... Yesterday I listened to the voice and I did it. 210 pounds.....off the ground. Who…

was helping someone move last night. two people were unloading the storage unit and I was packing the stuff in my truck.....when they came out I had gotten the sofa in the truck by myself...they said "oh someone came by and gave you a hand?" Nope. That would be just lil ol me with my 53 year old bomb-*kitten* strength. BAM!
-
This is me totally also.
-
As others have said, I do not want to diminish how you feel but I would encourage you to love yourself more! I am an old lady of 53 with my head high in that weight room. I am so focused on my goals, my safety, watching my *kitten* go below parallel  in a good squat that I forget there is anyone around me.…

No tips for training per se except to say ....it suprised me how much harder I had to work once I was on actual pavement. Hang in there...be patient with yourself. Invest in really good running shoes and keep at it!!! Good luck! I cannot bring myself to run on a treadmill anymore now that I have been in the great outdoors!

I joined a gym near my office for this purpose but have since discovered that I don't like the rush. I can work out for 45 mins, take a quick shower and still make it back to the office in an hour but I find myself skipping sets or lifts all together because the crowd is there.....now that spring is here...I am opting for…
