@craigo3154- I'd recommend not adding this user to this challenge. Based on a post she made in the weight loss section she's 5'3 99 pounds, and she mentioned she's trying to lose 10 more pounds and become even more underweight. Her post was flagged and removed in the weight loss section for this reason. Adding users whose…

You can't spot reduce as others sad, so weight will come off from all over the body once one loses weight. Good luck!!
-
She is correct, and food labels can underestimate by 20%. If I were you I'd invest in a food scale. I also doubt your burning 4,000 calories a day how are you tracking this?
-
30 pounds isn't much at all. I've been using 80 pounds now, but I've been going through a progressive program, so I've moved from 30 to 40 all the way to 80. You're not going to bulk up from 30 pounds FYI.. it takes a lot of work to bulk up. I'm not even close to being bulky from weight lifting.

Week 4 Weigh in day- Saturday Previous weight- 142.4 Current- 142.0

Have you ever thought about getting a Dexa scan? It's going to be a lot more accurate.

I'm not sure if the OP saw this amazing chart that Tiny Dancer posted, so I'm going to copy it here for the OP. I think we've all told her she's eating more calories than she thinks, and she doesn't use a food scale to measure her full intake, and relies on food labels that can underestimate calories, so Op if you want…
-
Have you been trying this for less than 3 weeks or more? One of the users gave a flow diagram That is amazing.
-
Do you know food labels can underestimate by 20%? I vote on the food scale as well, and that way you can have a. Errrr grasp on how much you're really eating.
-
I weigh myself every single morning because I don't calorie count or use a food scale to track my food intake, and it's been working for me. Weighing myself every morning gives me a chance to see how what I eat the day before affects my weight.

I've recently started to pack some clementines it's amazing.

It's only been 2 weeks relax :)

I like to take a walk around the building, and around a walking path we have. Good luck!!

I know whenever I eat overly salty food my weight increases but that's because of the water retention. My weight usually drops within a week, but I personally wouldn't have a diet that's sodium laden.
-
First time I'm hearing of this diet.

The range of weight loss information I gave was information I got from a registered dietician I saw a few years ago. But yeah this number can vary from each professional I'm sure.
-
Just a little FYI food labels can underestimate calories by 20% so this would play a factor as well which is why food scale is better, and I'm glad you'll be using it going forward. Make sure when you're using a food scale that you don't eat 1,000 calories that's not healthy. If you have less than 20 pounds to lose the…

That doesn't make sense to me. Op was not weighing her food so she didn't have an idea of how much she was actually consuming she thought she was consuming 1,000, but that wasn't true. I think op consuming the calories MFP suggests and actually using a food scale will benefit her a lot. I think the mentality that she was…

You don't have much to lose set your rate of loss from 2 pounds a week to 0.5 pounds a week instead. You'll have more calories left over, and honestly eat that doughnut you've worked hard for it. Good luck!

As others mentioned it seems you're possibly eating at maintenance if you're weight isn't increasing some more and it's staying the same. Invest in a food scale if you don't have it, and track your calories. I'd recommend you continue to eat at maintenance and focus not on losing weight but maintaining your current weight,…

Do you use a food scale ? I second the counting calories question.
-
She really isn't eating that much she's not using a food scale. I do think her mentality is wrong that she thinks she needs to eat a thousand calories to lose weight. Op mentioned she's going to get a food scale, so she can be more accurate with her tracking, and she'll eat the amount suggested by MFP to lose weight.…

What's your question??
-
That's your problem you're not using a food scale if you want to lose weight buy yourself a food scale, start tracking your intake better, and eat the amount of calories MyFitnessPal suggests the absolute minimum is 1,200 calories, but you're probably going to be able to eat more than that possibly. Also MyFitnessPal will…
-
@jennygutt - Do you use a food scale to track your caloric intake?
-
You're eating more calories than you think if you're not using a food scale start using it, and once you have the scale track your food intake better, and eat the calories recommended by MyFitnessPal good luck!!
-
What's your current height and weight? What did you set your rate of loss as?
-
I'm about 8 pounds overweight right now, and my SO did notice when I was heavier. Before I was actually almost 50 pounds overweight, and he wanted us to workout together, and we hit the gym, and started making meals more at home except for once every 2 weeks going somewhere like chipotle haha. So yeah my SO was definitely…

While you lose weight the fat will slowly come off your face at least it did for me. My face wasn't super chubby to begin with, but it got more toned. If you lose too much weight your face will look gaunt be careful.
-
Thanks!! Do you use a food scale to weigh your food?
