I can work longer and not feel l tired and i am feeling motivated to do the things I have always wanted to do. I want to clean more. I still have 65 lbs to go to normal weight though.
-
Um, I realized it and hated it. It's something that kind of threw me into a meltdown.
-
I just think it is hard to function obese in life. The bigger you get the harder it is.
-
I can walk faster on the treadmill a 3.4 when it used to be a lot slower!
-
I want the ability to move and energy the most. I have had weight issues my entire life so have not really known body freedom. I was over 300 lbs for long time and feel like those years were wasted, just starting to feel like I can enter life again after losing over 100 lbs. You can't live well morbidly obese.
-
I've been strength training and still am losing. Your calorie intake might be off.
-
Did you have wls? I track here and go to the meetings too for accountability and see my real results every week. I get discouraged at the slow progress on my own.
-
Well most people do not eat a ton of vegetables, the nonstarchy ones. Those were always free on ww. Fruit on the other hand is easy to overeat!
-
I track here and use weight watchers for weigh ins. I lost about twice as much weight using that method last month for the month. It keeps me accountable. Also, the good thing about wls is that it helps you stop and if you mostly eat healthy foods those take up more space in your stomach. You do still have to make…

From what I've read theres the help him not gain weight until he grows approach or slow weight loss approach and help him take responsiblity for what he eats. I don't think it should not be dealt with at all because I grew up heavy on the verge of obese and have had problems with my weight my entire adult life and that…

Its sounds like more could be going on than one extra meal. I mean he is wanting to overeat and it could be because he is going to grow soon or something emotional or just heavy foods and he likes volume. It is hard to say. My son is a little chunky too and can have an extra meal sometimes but hasn't gotten that much…

For me it was after being on a medication that increased my appetite so much that I gained over 100 lbs in 4 or 5 months. I was not going to gain after that and not going to be bigger than the sizes sold in Lane Bryant. Being the biggest size in Lane Bryant was a real wake-up call. It has taken me a while to lose weight…

I refuse to take meds that make it so easy for me to gain 10-20 lbs in a month! The benefits do not outweigh the negative side effects. I can do fine for a while but then the appetite increase caused by the meds just takes over. I get so hungry and eat at odd times.
-
I gained weight because I ate whatever I wanted most of my life and wasn't active. Then after pregnancy I put on about 20 or so lbs and kept eating like I was pregnant after so put on another 30 lbs. Then I gained a lot on medications even after I wanted to change for some reason the meds made me want to eat everything and…

For me, outside of surgery, eating 1200 calories a day does make me miserable. I am 5'5.5'' and a woman. Naturally I seem to only be able to lose around 1.5 lbs a week with heavy exercise and around 1800-2200 calories. I am not unwell eating 1200 calories but I definitely do not enjoy it.
-
No, not all kids are active. I wasn't and ate a lot. I could put down bags of cookies and at least a half gallon of ice cream by myself. I always had a problem with sweets!
-
I have a very hard time losing and tend to gain while on antipsychotics.

Definitely agree about database entries. I look up foods sometimes online to double check when there is a large disparity in entries and I don't know the exact calories.
-
Are you sure you haven't had results and are you weighing your food? Sometimes the results are there but just slower than I would like. For example, It seems like I've been in the 220's forever but I lost weight last month.
-
Totally agree.

If she is a healthy weight and exercising, I don't think her foot problems are because of her weight. I'd look into other causes. I think you are pushing her too hard. If she was overweight I would agree with what you are doing. The bottom of the healthy bmi range is very small too unless you have very little muscle and a…

I don't have any regrets. No complications. Recovery was harder than I thought it was going to be but I feel fine now. It's not a cure all. You still have temptations to eat too much and the wrong foods but it does make it easier to stop when you should. You still need a lifestyle change (eating well, exercising and…

How big are your boobs? I am a DDD and don't have any problems with a decent bra. I have more problems with my stomach. Its funny because I'm scared of riding a bike on the street going down hills and stuff. I'd rather run but can understand not wanting to do it.

Exercise makes a huge difference for me. For some reason it makes me about 90% less likely to overeat. I am less focused on food and less bored. I don't want to outeat my calorie burn most of the time. Only time I gain weight is when I am not exercising.

I had the surgery in June. I am down about 50 lbs and feel so much better. I still feel fat and probably will until I am closer to goal. You still have to work but it does make things easier. It is definitely a tool not a solution to obesity.
-
Current weight 224 Short term goal ( hopefully by new year)- 199 Long term goal- 153 and see from there where I'd like to be. This is the top of my normal weight and 70 lbs from where I am now. If anyone wants to friend me I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to eat clean and a good proportion of every food group and keep active…

I think you just have to get rid of it and not keep it in the house if you can. I have a similar problem with sweets. If you can't not keep it around have your family member hide it. My mom hides her treats from me and it really helps. Putting it out of sight helps too or in an inconvenient location.

That is really judgmental and I really disagree. So do children lack personal accountability? I have a sister and she is underweight/bordering underweight and her children are as well. I have always been heavy. I was 20-30 lbs overweight from the time I was 8 or so years old. My son is the same way. We were raised in the…

Naturally fat = fat from the time you were a child with a natural propensity to overeat!
