I cannot lose on antipsychotics and antidepressants. I can maintain my weight with exercise and work but not lose. I need to incorporate an appetite suppressant to continue losing.

Getting it properly treated can make all the difference in the world. I have been depressed since I was a teenager and suicidal and gained a lot of weight. Now that I'm treated I could care less about food. It's crazy. I feel free for the first time in so long!

Most of your stomachs are still flat. I'm not seeing anything encouraging really for those who do have stomach issues. I've had a gut since I was a teenager in middle school. My stomach is one of my worst features especially after childbirth because it is covered with stretch marks.

I had the gastric sleeve and it has changed my life. I am now in onederland from highest weight of 330. I had such a hard time losing weight before because I was a volume eater and severely depressed. I've had to deal with the depression and exercise but it is so much easier to lose weight. I know I will have to keep up…

I think walking burns more than they think because I lose more weight when I walk on the treadmill. I'm not sure why.
-
I am the opposite. I feel more stabilized in hunger after working out. People are so different!

By the bmi like 5 lbs. That is nothing. Individual look may vary. I had a cousin who was 5'6'' and around 160 and she looked great too. She did lift weights and run though. She was still healthy and athletic. She liked being in the 140's better.

125 a week for yourself is a lot! I used to spend less than that for a family of 3.
-
You didn't say what your weight actually is..
-
People look very different at the same bmi. The low bmi range does look too thin ( bony) to me on some people but some people pull it off fine. I would go by how you feel and if you are able to do what you want to do with your life.

Happened to me too. I gained 120 lbs in 5 months and I probably normally would have cared but the meds took that away for some reason.

Been to hawaii.

Never, I'm starting to think I must be ugly. I'm still fat though skinnier than I used to be. Maybe my personality?

Amazing, energetic and hopeful! I'm finally getting thin enough where real changes can happen in my life.
-
That's what I want. I don't care how I look but to be able to move and walk and do the things I want would be amazing. I still have 60-80 lbs to go. It is a slow process!
-
I gain strength too and I'm a woman!
-
Can relate to that! Still do. I need to lose more.
-
I can relate. Getting to a size 28 and 330 lbs was the tipping point for me too. I could not be the biggest size in Lane Bryant and bed bound!

I disagree. MFP doesn't have meetings. If you are just doing WW online it would probably be easier and cheaper to use an app or website like mfp.
-
Meetings and an in person weigh in really help me. I am not a fan of paying 45 a month but the benefits seem to outweigh the cost for me. People on Mfp are very against WW but you need to do you.

Getting to a 26/28 at Lane Bryant, the largest size, and not being able to stand or walk for very long. I was on a psych med that had an affect on my weight though. I gained over 100 lbs in 4 or 5 months. Weight gain stoppped after I stopped the medication. I'm irritated that I didn't do something sooner. I am almost back…
-
I don't gain weight during my period. Last cycle it didn't move down but I did eat more than my calorie goal. I have lost in the past though during period.
-
The meetings really help me lose more every month and keeps me more motivated because I see the results of my efforts or non-efforts more clearly. I feel like I am staying the same when I just weigh at home and not having real results. You need to work the program to lose the weight you want to lose though.
-
I over ate or at least had a hard time losing because of hunger. Stopping weight gain was easier for me than losing because it feels like you are perpetually hungry. I finally had wls and it has helped with that bit I also know I need to change things, work, to get to my goals. I'm so tired of being fat!

That's great! It can be just as bad to be too thin as overweight. It's nice to hear from someone who has worked on it! Great job!
