  • maybe a bulletproof coffee? I find adding coconut oil and heavy cream to a coffee keeps me full. You can also add butter.
  • my scales jump all over the place, but the trend always ends up downwards :)

  • I wish i could get my family to switch over, hubby lasted 5 days low carb and kids wont even consider it, although the meals i cook for them could be classed as low carb (not keto) I cant control what goes into their mouths outside the house :( Id love it if they got on board
  • my weight will bounce around for a week then i will have a proper drop - if you are not hungry on what you are eating it looks fine to me - just keep at it :)
  • best of luck - and thanks for the info :)
  • after 4 weeks i bet if you "cheat" you find that what you craved is not as nice as it was in your imagination :) sometimes i think its worth doing now and then to remind yourself just how awesome you feel on keto - and that the cheats are just not worth it. :)
  • I eat no less vegies than before low carb (i pretty much spend all my carbs on salad and veg) I feel it has more to do with the processed carbs causing gas as i very rarely expel gas any more at all and when i do its odorless - unless i have a cheat day and eat processed things, then im gassy for at least 48 hours :(
  • I am on two kinds of antidepressants and both have weight gain as a side effect (on them for 3 years and gained 30 kilo!!!) Since going low carb I find i have much more control over the cravings (they seem to make me crave carbs - by reducing my carbs i craved less) Since going keto i have been able to reduce my meds by…
  • I have been on this journey for a year now for weight loss and other health benefits. 20 kilos lost in 9 months low carb, 13 kilos lost in 3 months keto - still 10 kilo to go :) Best tips: 1. just keep on going, if you slip, get back on track with your next meal. 2. read the low carb forum for hints, tips and motivation…
  • I ate low carb for 9 months and would often fantasize about and crave carby foods (without giving in) it was a bit of a mental struggle. After i went keto the cravings and all hunger between meals completely vanished. I just don't think about food at all any more :)
  • I had never heard of it before reading this post - thankfully my cream (store brand - non organic cheap stuff) does not contain it. It can be sneaky though not always listed clearly :( ... In Australia, foods containing carrageenan will contain one of the following labels: ‘vegetable gum (407)’, ‘carrageenan gum’, or…
  • Still good here thanks kittykidee :) ... Thanks Sunny_Bunnie. ... think you have nailed it ... maybe some extra salad with my fatty meat tonight :)
  • a great read thanks for sharing!
  • Nuts and cheese are good low carb calorie dense higher fat foods that can bump up your totals if really running too low
  • Thanks girls, .. now to remember this is not an excuse to splurge lol
  • also a bit confused here, i pigged out big time xmas day - more carbs than i usually eat in a week - yet i'm pretty sure two days later I'm back in ketosis - in fact my appetite is lower than ever - couldn't make it to my caloric goal yesterday and had to force myself to have a snack bar and coffee today at lunch time - no…
  • My biggest weakness is my home made vanilla slice, I used to bake it for my family but i just cant resist a slice if its in the house, so now i bake them things i don't feel tempted by instead. I don't even have a sweet tooth really but the thought of it consumes me, i have even woken from dreams of eating it! I have my…
