  • There is well established Keto group on MFP. Members are doing Keto for various reasons, weight loss, migraines and other neurological problems, diabetes, PCOS etc. Many have been told to do Keto by their doctors. A lot of the members are very knowledgeable having years of experience and willing to help and answer any…
  • In the beginning I took an over the counter stool softener when things needed a little help. It did not effect my weight loss and I added it as I would food to my diary.
  • I've cooked it before Keto where I marinated it over night in a honey and soy sauce mixture, that was very yummy. If I made it now I think I would try soy sauce and ginger as a glace/sauce rather than marinating it.

  • Keto, obvious. Zandra my name. I'm originally from England. It means helper of mankind.
  • That is a very high protein breakfast. I would switch out one of your breakfast eggs to the egg whites and hold the cheese. That will give you protein for later. Also do you weigh your food? I have found that cans of tuna are not accurate. I would also back off a bit to 4-4 1/2 oz of tuna for lunch. See if that helps. I…
  • Your fat is over by 52 g today and you have not been eating your protein based on your food diary so I don't think you are in ketosis. But I will defer to others to advise you.
  • I'm 54 and this helped me with sleep, moods and weight. 1) The keto diet with 8/16 IF (this made a huge impact on me and my body and everything menopause) 2) No cheese. 3) No caffeine after 3pm. 4) "Body Groove Dance Your Heart Out" videos because they are fun and uplift my mood (seriously look it up), 5) 25mg…
  • I've done some research on this and it seems that working out during the last hours of a fast seems to be the way to go and preferred in what I found. But it's personal rather than a "better."
  • There is a saying I've heard. "You can't win an argument with a stupid person." I understand why you are mad, they are being bullies. Define your personal boundaries and if they bring it up, silence is power. Or loose it and tell them to go to H..., that might be what they need to back off.
  • Hi Mechelle, I just sent you a friend request because looking at your profile we have a very similar story, I'm 54. I did well on Keto had an injury and out of commission and now back after 10 months. I am finding that this time my body is not reacting the same, I'm on my 5th week. If you do the daily food diary on here…

  • Hi Nikki, I just counted 16 columns which are assigned but empty. There are more with just a starting weight and nothing further. Is there any change we can delete those who are not participating. If they decide to join us in furture months they can be entered further to the right. I think it is encouraging to see those…
  • Baconslave, You are correct, I got my words wrong I ment fat adapted instead of Ketosis for the 6-7 weeks.
  • From what I have read and been told on here you will not be in ketosis for 6-7 weeks of Keto (no cheats) so if you started Jan 6th plan on being there around Feb 26. What % is your calories deficit, and what are your carb, fat and protein macros? Are you measuring and weighing your food? As far as the scale I'll share what…
  • I have PCOS too. I have very fine and thin hair. When I did Keto the first time I did have hair loss (1-4 months) that was alarming to me. But it grew back. This time around I have not noticed any loss. As you have other contributing factors it may or may not be your PCOS and hormone levels adjusting to Keto. I can tell…
  • I'm on my second time doing Keto a year apart. My first time starting at 206lb I had a huge water loss at the beginning about 10 lbs in the 1st 2 weeks, then it went to a normal loss as the weeks followed. This time my body has reacted differently (I'm on week 5) my initial weight loss was 4 lb, but the following weeks…
  • I did Keto and IF 8/16 last year (two meals no snack) and it was a struggle to get in my calories. I don't think I could physically eat everything in one sitting. Why are you doing OMD?
  • Hi Gimme, It's time to start measuring and weighing.

  • Hi Nikki, It's 9.09pm local time in Los Angeles. I just added myself to the end of your spread sheet and added my weights. Thank you for setting this up, what a wonderful idea. Zandra
  • The title and your post don't seem related. Why are you sad?
  • For me the spices are key. Adding a rub to chicken can change it from Jerk chicken, to lemon pepper chicken, to curried chicken, onion gravy chicken, all using the same chicken.
  • If your daily food diary was visible we can see what you are eating and help you.
  • I had the same thing happen so now I do not add my exercise.
