On Sunday, I ran 2 miles and only slowed to a walk one time for a very short distance. I didn't realize until last night that the longest I've ever ran without constantly breaking for walk time was 1 mile. It inspired me to go out and push myself last night. I ran 2.2 miles with no walking. I didn't realize I was capable.

On rest days I get into this mental head space of telling myself I can't eat as much because I don't have exercise calories to eat back. Once I put that restriction on myself, I'm starving all day long. I've stopped worrying about it. I plan to eat a lot of fruits and veggies those days. If I go over...I go over. I'm under…

Finally bought a new pair of jeans last night and discovered I went down two sizes. I put elastic in the waist band of my old pants so I really had no idea.

I didn't expect my hair to start growing like crazy and my elbows to get super soft. Yay for water and vegetables. When I experience the slightest amount of stress, I realize I start thinking about going for a run. I thought people who ran when they were stressed was like a book and movie thing. My brain has been…

I ran a mile in 12:25. Personal best for me. A month ago my average pace was around 14:15. Three months ago it took me around 17 minutes and I walked more than I ran. Progress feels good.

I have been counting calories for 4 months. A month ago I started eating a whole grapefruit at least 5 times a week just because I love them. I haven't lost weight any faster than I was before I started chowing down on them.

I weighed daily for 3 months. My weight fluctuated up and down, but steadily went down. If I had a lot of sodium, I saw that on the scale the next day. I stopped weighing daily once the process stopped being educational for me. After 4 months, I feel like I know when it is going to say something I like and when it isn't. I…

Update: 6 more lbs lost. 6 more changes: 1. I had my cholesterol tested again. My LDL is down to 131. The doctor said I don't have to take medication if I keep it here or lower. Happiness! 2. I can workout for 45 minutes on most days without getting fatigued. When I first started it was hard to get in more than 20 minutes.…

I rode my bike a mile without stopping. I went slow up the hills but I didn't have to stop to catch my breath. I only use it about once a month and I'm always surprised st how much easier it gets each time.
