Me too! I felt so discourcouraged not seeing any lbs loss on the scales after 7 weeks of exercising and reducing calories, having previously been losing roughly a lb a week not really doing anything productive to lose weight but I was steadily losing baby blubber nevertheless. I posted my frustration on here and got great…

Standing in the rain watching my 11 yr old in her riding lesson wishing it was me galloping at a 100mile per hour around the arena! And obviously looking at mfp to pass the time....

I love "bodyfit by Amy" on youtube. She has great beginners videos as well as intermediate and advanced. I thought about buyingvT25 but gave youtube a try first and found lots of "free" and useful stuff on there.

If I'm overtired, stressed or feeling run down I get a stye. It can be really painful and causes the infected eye to water.

Jammmmmmmmm.....It's my weak spot! 10 pm workout is not a problem here either, thankfully, because sometimes that's the only chance I get to fit it in! And because my sleep is disturbed countless times throughout the night(4 kids. Each night it's a conveyor belt of one or the other coming over to my side of the bed, never…

Thanks for letting me know. I will take a sneaky peek, always interesting comparing what I eat to other people!

50lb weight loss, that's great!! I'm rather new to mfp and don't know how to view other people's diary. I exceed my sugar "allowance" most days so it's good to know it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Isn't it a combination of both? Running or any cardio acivity that increases the heart rate will help shed the pounds (and keep it off) and bodyweight workouts using weights will tone and tighten? This is what I've been doing for the last 2months and I can see more definition in certain areas of my body and have lost…

psuLemon MFP Moderator sugar not my enemy? Whoop! Whoop! I can have jam!! (In moderation of course) I agree that anytime we can fit exercise in is better than not doing any at all. But I sometimes find myself doing a workout at 10pm because I haven't been able to fit it in any other time. Are there any benefit/drawback to…

Just wanted to add that I don't find it bloats me as much when I use water. Adding a splash of semi-skimmed milk gives it a creamier texture. I log this method into my diary and it does come up to 445 cals and the carbs comes in at 72g but it's a slow release energy.

Porridge is one of my favourite breakfast cereals! I mix it with water to cook then add a splash of milk to cool it, a teaspoon of honey instead of sugar and slice a banana on top. Now I have a craving for it!!

Thank you for taking the time out to post another response and photo. you have now given me more motivation. I am only 5 years older than you!! From your photo I honestly thought you were in your early twenties. And how wrong was I to think you had more time than me! As busy as you are, you manage to fit exercise into your…

Thank you for your professional advice. I will take it on board. In your opinion what time of day is best to exercise? And with losing body fat I find myself keeping to the daily calories mfp has calculated for me but sugar is my enemy! How important is it to keep under my sugar allowance in order to lose body fat??

Positive thinking that's what we need. We will get there. In my case I've done this 3 times before and each time it has stayed off ( until I got pregnant again but we're having no more babies here. Shop is closed for refurbishment!)

Wow! That is extremely helpful, thanks. This is an example of what a lot of people have said in their response about fat and muscle. There is hope!!

Hahahahaha!!! I am literally p****** myself!!! That was a good one!! Genuinely funny!! I feel such a tit cos I actually googled them and just as I was typing it into the browser it dawned on me!! :D

The thread title was misleading. I didn't and still don't want to give up. I was frustrated of not losing any weight (on the scales)for 7 weeks despite of the effort I'm putting in. You must have read the rest of my original post so you'll be aware that I didn't mention giving up in it. I was hopeful for support and got it…

Eh?? In english please :D :D Thanks, I'll google them

Thanks for all the advice.

Thank you on both counts. Coincidentially I haven't done any exercise over the past 3 days only my regular steps, which have amounted to 38661 steps, which didn't include my regular dog walk as I have been too busy with family life. I had a 3 mile walk this morning and I'm chomping at the bit to do a HIIT session (never…

Such as.....? What type of exercises? So I can try some out and see how I get on. Oh, don't worry I won't be using other people's success as a means to think that is how my body will turn out. I have no doubt that she is probably at least 15 years younger than me, has more energy, maybe more time and definiately better…

Yes this is true! Your 2nd pic is the look I'm going for!! Your first pic is me now!! Thanks for taking the time to help. I will get on that bike and grin and bare it!! The stair climbing sounds interesting. How were you incorpirating that? Climbing the stairs at home or getting a stepper? How many reps etc? Jogging out of…

This was me for ages!!!! It was driving me bonkers not being able to get it to sync on mfp! The way I got it to work was to go to the mfp browser -www.MyFitnessPal.com then settings > diary settings> check the box on calorie adjustments and voila it worked. Hope you get it to do it's thang!
-
This makes me believe that I should have stuck to what I was doing before!! ;) Great achievement by the way!

What you're saying makes sense. I'm not a nutritionist or personal trainer (otherwise I wouldn't be on here having a tantrum that I haven't lost weight in 7 weeks - haha!) but in my logic I did think that I would lose something in 7 weeks since I had reduced calorie intake by 250 and took up cardio and weight training. I…
-
You all make so much sense. Thank you. Until 7weeks ago, when I first started exercising and reduced my calories by 250, I hadn't changed anything diet wise since having my little one and it was working as I was losing weight. I just thought by upping my exercise regime it would drop even further or at least carry on…

I have bookmarked your post for future reference as it's comprehendable and sensible advice for someone like myself. Also I'm bookmarking it so I'm able to come back to it when I feel like eating cake then I can compare your impressive midsection with my profile pic showcasing my 9 month pregnant belly (which after…

Not working on mine either. I came across your post when trying to find out why. Did you figure it out?
