I think many people "clean" eat mostly because it allows them to consume more food for less calories. I also find it easier to track calories when I know exactly what ingredients I'm using and how much. I would be wary of cheat days because you could easily eat back the calorie deficit you made throughout the week. If you…

Unless you're burning 1000 calories a day through some kind of activity, it's way too high. Even when I started at 360, my calorie allowance was around 2600 to lose 1 pound a week.

May as well chew on plastic...less calories (so long as you don't swallow it. That, I would not advise.)

Why not plan some of your weekend meals ahead of time instead of just "winging it?" That way you can plug them in to the app and see where you are calorie wise and allow yourself X amount of this and X amount of that. You can still eat pizza and chips on the weekends, just not a whole pizza or a whole bag of chips. Or, I…

As some others have mentioned, that's a very aggressive goal. You may be able to do it but make sure you're not going to wreck your health in the process. I don't think anyone wants to discourage you, but we also don't want you to get to the end of the year and think you failed simply because you didn't get exactly where…

2000 isn't high for a deficit. I plugged in to lose 1.5 pounds a week and I still get 2180 calories per day before exercise. All depends on your weight, height and where you're going.

I think visiting your therapist regularly would be the best thing for you. A couple days of poor decisions doesn't need to be a couple years of bag decisions. You messed up, you owned up, now man up and do better tomorrow. Seems like you are facing some challenging situations right now but maybe a therapist would help you…

Make sure you're still logging your calories. You could easily consume more calories than needed during your eating periods, which will mean no weight loss. I've been IF for almost a year. When I stop tracking, I lose very little to none. When I track, the pounds disappear like a freeloader when the bill comes.

Get new friends. Or ditch humans all together and get a dog. Problem solved. I don't say much about my journey to people around me. Mostly because people are cruel and don't want to see other people doing better than what they're currently doing. I also have family members who will "congratulate" my weight loss on social…

I'm not sure why everyone thinks they need to eat 1200 to lose weight. I know it varies based on starting weight and height but there are a huge number of people with their calories set this low. When I first started MFP at 360ish pounds, I managed to lose 1.5 pounds a week exercising 2 times a week and eating 2000…

Nah. A lot of my weight loss journey has been a mental thing. If I have a cheat meal/day, I get so wrapped up thinking about it all the time that I can't focus on anything else I'm doing. So, I just plan everything and eat according to plan and if I happen to crave something, I dedicate enough calories to enjoy it and move…

You all can do it! Feel free to add me if you need another friend. I'm currently down 74 and have 114 to go

Honestly, I notice it in various places all the time. Sometimes I don't feel like my stomach has gotten smaller until I look back at old pictures. I seem to carry most weight in my hips and legs though.

While I do not know if there is any actual science there, I've always heard consuming lots of food high in sugar and salt makes us crave more food like that. I personally feel it was true for me. I still tend to have a sweet tooth. I think the key is to find things that will satisfy your cravings but that aren't so calorie…

I usually do 16:8 but over Christmas and New year's I didn't do anything because we were on other people's schedules. We came back and jumped right back into 16:8 without issues. So if we can walk away for several weeks and come back without skipping a beat, you'll be fine.

This may be a weird one but I really enjoy a little smudge of pure honey on a plain cracker. Just had some :)

Smash the pop tart into the shape of a granola bar. Close enough?

Maybe, but 20 pounds in 5 weeks is not very realistic. That's 4 pounds a week. It's best to stay around a pound a week, even 2 pounds a week would be generous.

Little by little, a little becomes a lot.

I see what you did there

I sure hope between yourself and the people you're paying, you can figure it out because you've instantly made many enemies on here. Everyone was just trying to help but we were treated poorly simply because we didn't answer the direct question asked and questioned what you're doing. Why not be more forthcoming with…

It's not candy but it's sweet and delicious. I personally think the clif z kid bars iced oatmeal taste just like a cookie. And only 140 calories.

I've been overweight my entire life. I lost when I was a teenager, then gained it back plus some. Then lost again when I was early 20's and gained it back plus some. And as of today, I'm down 74 pounds in the past year. I would say closely monitor your calories. If you feel like you're not eating enough, why not work out…

Didn't realize that was a mean girls quote. Was getting ready to post, "but I don't wear pink." :D

Unless you're tracking everything meticulously, really are at a deficit and still aren't losing. Then, it's not a dietician you need to see, but a doctor, because something is wrong.

Welcome and good luck!
