Thanks to those who answered in a helpful manner. I honestly don't recall what I've posted on other boards because it's been a while and I've done every "eating scheme" out there. For those who cannot relate or say it doesn't exist, you're lucky. It's a very real thing for many people, myself included.

Even if they were talking about you, even if they aren't overweight, how is their health? They can make fun of people for having a "front" all day long but if they're able to manage their weight with chips and soda, you're still better off. At least you're making an effort and working on yourself. Plus, screw other people.

Us poor pescatarians get left out! :(

1000 calories is too low. Bare minimum recommended for women is 1200. Make sure you're also getting plenty of water and measuring your foods correctly

No, you're supposed to be able to get the nutrients your body needs and not feel hungry. Also, your body will adjust to eating less as you lose weight and time goes on. At least mine has.

Scream into a pillow Go buy some cheap plates and break them Make funny faces at yourself in the mirror Grab a pen and paper and write cuss words until you feel better Grab a pen and paper and write whatever comes to mind Say cuss words repeatedly until you feel better That's what I got

Does pescatarian count?!

I understand wanting to find alternatives. If you're craving sweet and salty, try a dab of pure honey on saltines. One serving is under 100 calories. I've recently taken to clif kid z bars. They taste like cookies to me. Iced lemon cookie, iced oatmeal cookie, and s'mores are all good ones. They have a chocolate chip I'm…

That's where the party's at

No, never had to deal with that. Why not take the reigns and tell her you will be serving yourself food? Or push the extra food back on to her plate? Or sit down and chat with her? My husband and I are both working on losing right now but it's not a competition. Sometimes I lose more and sometimes he loses more. We cheer…

You CAN do it without surgery! I am! I started over 370, currently 294 and continuing to go. In 1 year! Remember, no surgery comes without complications. At least doing it naturally, the only "complication" you'll have is keeping yourself motivated. There are tons of dance videos on YouTube that are free to do from the…

I like to think of myself as eclectic rather than crazy

My whys: I feel better when I'm leaner and healthier I was tired of not being able to find clothing to fit me I was tired of going places and just feeling self conscious about everything I want to be able to ride a roller coaster for once in my life I do not want to have a multitude of health problems as I age I do not…

We all have a story and yours is beyond amazing!

What if I wanted to be a tomato? Hi!

The only thing that will keep the weight off is constantly calorie tracking and having a better relationship with food. I've known many people who had GBS and over the course of time, gained all of their "original" weight back plus more. I think you should focus on what you did during the times you lost weight and reflect…

I do not care for Planet Fitness. I am sure every location is different but I've been to several and I always feel like they're more concerned about getting those contracts signed than actually helping their members get where they want to be. Also, one location I went to had "pizza Fridays." Not the greatest role model.…

Eating healthier CAN be more expensive than junk, but it doesn't have to be. I've only skimmed the replies so far so forgive me if I am repeating anything already mentioned. My husband and I are both full-time students who only work part time, minimum wage jobs...so, I understand the financial struggle. Here's what I do:…

If you're convinced you need to join a gym to keep you motivated to sticking with it, then by all means. But, why not use the money you would have spent on a membership and make your own fitness center at home? There are tons of cardio and strength training stuff you can do at home with little or no equipment. And that way…

Just eat better chocolate and you won't need 2-3 bars. Welcome!

Down 74 so far and 114 more to go. Working even harder this year than last so hopefully I can kill most of it :)

I don't mean to discourage you but 70 Pounds of loss in 5 months is very aggressive. It took me a year to lose almost 72 pounds and I started out much heavier. I only bring this up because you mentioned trying before and being discouraged. If your goals are unrealistic, this is more likely to happen. 1 pound per week is…

Good luck! I think most of us are our own worst enemy.

This is exactly right. I just know a lot of sit down restaurants where they have "under 600" menus or what have you. And since sit down restaurants tend to be the most miscalculated, it could really throw someone off if they indulge too often.
-
Sure, you could. But why not just forget about them so you lose faster?

Google is your friend. Most people either do 5:2 version or 16:8 version. 5:2 is where you eat at a normal calorie count for 5 days and fast (only water or no more than 500 calories) for the other 2. 16:8 is only having a window of 8 hours of the 24 in a day to eat. I've done both ways. There are advantages and drawbacks…

Be careful!!! Those calories aren't always accurate. Sometimes they're less but sometimes they're several hundred higher than what's listed. I would use extreme caution if you dine out frequently.

Used a stone and chiseled their calories into it

Problem is: how can we verbally punish you for not logging that bucket of fries if we have no idea you had a bucket of fries and you don't own up to eating the fries? Perhaps if you have someone who is always physically present and can do this, it would work better.
