Or at least pick out a healthy lunch or snack at the start of your shift, and stick to that, rather than deciding what to eat later when you're hungry.
-
Similarly, I've had to get used to eating enough to be no longer hungry, not enough to be full.
-
If you're not hungry I'd bank them for later when you really want something. Your call, though.

On the bright side, at least the OP is better informed about how she should have felt now that those dudes have explained it to her.

Enjoy. For my weekend run, which is generally a little longer, I'll sometimes drive to a more pleasant place to run. I'm in Chicago so the lakefront trail is nice. But if you've got somewhere to go that's a little nicer than the sidewalk in front of your house it's fun to have something to look forward to and motivate you…

You could check out the seven minute workout app. I generally do a round of it before or after running, but you could do it two or more times in a row for a pretty solid bodyweight workout.

Sorry, I understood that you were wondering if you burned 2185 calories by walking 4 miles, not over the course of the day. Please disregard my answer above.

Ate two pieces of pizza and stayed within calorie target instead of the usual 6 or 8. Not sure how I feel about that...

I'll let somebody who uses a Fitbit give you advice on the gadget but I can tell you for certain that number is far too high for calories burned.

"I lost an elephant penis" Where did you last see it?

Hope you don't fall off the wagon, but remember if you do the same principle applies with smoking as it does to healthy eating: Don't let one bad day turn into a pattern or make you give up. If you bum a smoke from someone it doesn't mean you haven't quit -- just don't do it again. If you buy a pack and regret it after the…

I've tried it both in a protein bar and baked into tortilla chips. Both were good and nothing tasted remotely strange about either of them. Don't know what if any flavor the powder has on its own but the bar tasted like any other one and the chip like a Dorito.

If using boneless, skinless breasts, brine them. They'll actually be juicy.

You'll never guess how I came up with mine...

Good for you! Do whatever it takes to make it through the first few days not smoking. If you can get in a little cardio it might help you to not feel like you want to smoke. Good luck.

Interesting aside: I bet if you decide to run outside you'll find yourself going faster without even meaning to. I jog at 4.0 mph (15 min/mile) on the treadmill and when I run outside I aim for the same pace but end up doing between 12-13 min/mile but it doesn't feel like I'm working any harder or going any faster.

Much obliged, all. I'm pretty sure I'm underestimating my activity and overestimating my intake anyway, so I'll find out for sure as I approach goal. And a little more exercise won't hurt if it earns me an extra beer or slice of pizza here and there.

If you tap on the "calories remaining" bar on the top of the home page, you should see a page labeled "Today" at the top. You can scroll forward or backward using the arrows on the sides.

Nah. Just some good-natured ribbing, probably springing from jealousy.

In the same boat. Yesterday was my first day back on the wagon, so to speak. I'm in Chicago and was really good all October and November, but the holidays were a different story. Good luck -- you'll do fine once you get back on track.
