There's no way I'm swapping pizza crust for cauliflower- just no 🤣 I like cauliflower though - as it is not as a substitute for anything. I like to swap out pasta sometimes for veggies - but I have them in their whole form.

Haha I never thought of this. I'm 20lbs lighter than when I was riding last year - it's possible I could have lost a bit of junk in my trunk 😁 I remember doing that ride 50lbs heavier than I am now - I felt physically sick! I never want to go back there!
-
Yes it's a definately possibility that my flexibility and fitness is much lower than last year. I will take your advice and stretch before my ride tomorrow. I'm doing a similar ride distance wise but it's much less hilly.

The pain was at the front of my knees And my lower back I'm definitely going to get a bike fit at the weekend- even though I am confused because I rode the same bike all of last year without issue.

I hear you! Im also in my 40's and have 20lbs left to lose after a 50+ lb loss and I'm struggling. Even the smallest deficit is difficult and I struggle with hunger a lot of the time and have plateaued since Christmas. What works for me most of the time is 2 big meals instead of 3 and I try to stay away from snacks as they…

When I eat at any time of the day - I usually over eat. I've had diet/ IF breaks in the last 3 months and have plateaued. I'm on my last 20lbs and am over eating and giving myself too many 'breaks' What IF does for me is that it draws a line under my last meal and keeps my calorie intake down. It also helps with cravings.…

Ohhhh I wish this company was in the UK! I love cheesecake 😋

I usually have eggs for breakfast because they full me up. Sometimes I'll have porridge with almonds and fruit or greek yoghurt with almonds and fruit but I'm hungry shortly after. Sometimes I have dinner leftovers - who says you have to eat 'breakfast foods' 😊
-
Yep - don't buy it. Then the temptation isn't there. If you're out and about it's harder - but having cupboards full of crap makes it impossible. People blame their kids for having cupboards full of rubbish - which is just nonsense. The kids aren't buying it!

I haven't had it yet but I think I'm going to have porridge with apple and cinnamon.

Quick Fajitas for one. Handful frozen onion Frozen Bell pepper slices Tsp frozen chopped garlic Diced chicken breast Pinch of - Paprika, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper, chilli powder, salt and pepper. Wholewheat tortilla Greek yoghurt Avocado Sprinkle grated cheddar. Coat the chicken in the spices cook through and set…

Fried eggs with avocado and tomato on toast.

Yes thankyou - I thought maybe my seat may be a little low. The ride was to somewhere I have cycled to many times without much bother - but you're right it was a bit far for a first ride in a while. I feel ancient!

I can relate to a lot of this post. I have to calorie count or I consume far too many calories - and even when I do calorie count I'm usually over - sometimes by a lot. I'm around 20lbs from goal and have a ravenous hunger that is never satiated for very long. As honeybadger said - I have to fight some level of hunger…

I also log calories and eat what I want. I'm not a planner - I make it up as I go along too I have been on ALL of the 'diets' shakes and keto etc ... none of them are sustainable for me. So I try and eat at a small deficit most days - life happens so I don't succeed every day.
-
Ignore all of that metabolism nonsense that companies like WW and Slimming World etc .. tell you to buy their products! Count calories - eat at a deficit and you will lose weight. Calculate the amount of calories you need per day to lose weight with an online TDEE calculator. Buy an electronic kitchen scale and weigh…
-
I never eat the same amount of calories per day / week etc I started with nearly 80lbs to lose so it was easier to have a deficit at a higher weight - now I'm on my last 20lbs it's getting harder and I don't want to lower my calories too much so I have to eat like that for ever! The horror 😱 So my calories are set at my…

I have about 20lbs left to lose and am struggling with hunger - so I'm playing around with different macros at the moment. Over the past week or so I have upped my calories by 200 or so a day and am eating pretty much what I want within that calorie allowance - I try ( not always successfully) to keep my carbs below 100g…

I have it maybe once a month It's not something I crave often. I enjoy pizza but I refuse to pay £20 for bread and cheese when I can make it at home for £3 and a lot tastier! Burgers are also nicer made at home and fried chicken is repulsive 🤮 I might get a sandwich or sausage roll from a bakery occasionally if I'm out all…

I'm STARVING a week before my period. It's always been that way and I don't suffer from PCOS. I make allowances for feeling that way and don't beat myself up about it. If you want something sweet - log it and move on. Deprivation never turns out well.

Cheese omlette with sliced avocado and a wholemeal pitta bread. Apple. Black coffee and lots of water.

Bread ❤ Marks and Spencers bakery does this amazing cheddar and red lecister crusty cob loaf and I could and I have eaten the whole thing in one sitting 😳 Within an hour I could eat again! So yes bread makes me more hungry- any carbs do to be honest regardless of their GI etc ..

I find that trying to do more than one important thing at a time usually doesn't work. Maybe concentrate on giving up smoking which will be one of the best things you ever do for yourself! Have your op and recover then work on your diet. Otherwise it may feel overwhelming.

I feel 'hungry' most of the time. I'm generally only satiated directly after a good meal - if it's a carb heavy meal like pasta then I'm 'hungry' again within an hour. The only way I can manage these cravings is to do intermittent fasting. I have a cut off point each day where I stop eating or drinking anything with…

I play around with IF having a cut off point to stop eating is hugely helpful for me with evening snacking. I don't do it every day because life happens. But I lost 54lbs over the last 14 months doing my own version as I'm sceptical about the 'science' behind it. It basically helps me stay in a calorie deficit. I still log…

I'm a binge eater too Having a cut off point to stop eating anything with calories helps - occasional intermittent fasting. Staying away from carb heavy food helps me too. Not that any of these habits are consistent for me 🙄 I'm out of control this week. I have been eating bread at breakfast which sets me off on one for…

You can't change other people Only how you react to them. I might have this tattooed on my body somewhere so I remember to apply that information every day 😊
