Thanks for that It's great to know that the hunger will hopefully eventually bugger off for me too though if I can stick to it! I've just had my dinner at 5pm because I'm STARVING ๐ณ I'm going to have to go to bed at 8pm lol!

I thought it was a good read. I have practiced intermittent fasting on and off since I started my weight loss journey and it has helped me with cravings and appetite control and helped me lose 57lbs. I'm not taking any 'diet' approach as gospel - I take something from each one and apply what I think could be sustainable.โฆ

You're all so organised ๐ I have a simple strategy of just not buying too many perishable items. And I eat variations of the same things over 2/3 days. I'm also awful for not wanting to eat what I planned - so I don't meal prep things I can't freeze. I don't mind food shopping so I tend to go every 2/3 days for freshโฆ

Breakfast - seeded wholemeal toast with avocado, sliced tomatoes and spinach, scrambled eggs. Black coffee. Lunch - protien bar Black coffee Dinner - steak with peppercorn sauce, Chestnut mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach and broccoli. Pear.

I cant see cheese or chocolate on this list ๐ณ So if I HAVE to pick one of those I'll choose broccoli as its my go to veg - but obviously I prefer it in cheese sauce!

Thanks for your replies ๐ I have about a 400 cal deficit at the moment- I definitely can't do more - I feel hungry a lot of the time. I'm playing around with my macros and have reduced carbs to around 100g a day and am trying to up my protien. Playing around with recipes is a good idea - I'm so bored of the foods I gotโฆ

What works for me mostly is keeping the carbs down. Not keto - because I don't want to eliminate food groups - but keep my carbs under 100g per day. I try to have most of my carbs in the form of veggies etc... This obviously doesn't happen all the time - but I notice the difference in my satiety /hunger / cravings if I eatโฆ

I've had a really busy stressful day today and feel too stressed to cook. Breakfast- handful almonds Lunch - bbq chicken slices, mocha Dinner - cheese and crackers, protien bar ๐

I wish I knew the answer to this question! I cant just have 1 cookie etc ... Once I start it's game over for the whole packet. So I rarely buy them - the only way for me is to not have things like that in the house!

I'm sure wiser people than me will come along with some great practical advice. I'd just like to say that I understand how you feel. I'm probably a lot older than you at 46 but I struggled with my weight my whole life too. And any 'diets' I tried were OK for a short time but ultimately unsuccessful in the long run and Iโฆ

I could have written that myself - we have lost an almost identical amount of weight in the same time frame. I really hope that slow and steady keeps it off for good! I have 21 lbs to go too - no rush ๐

@soymilkmilo Switching things up gradually is a great idea - I will try that thankyou. It's so easy to get stuck in a rut when you know you enjoy certain foods and they keep you satiated etc .. For example I usually have eggs for breakfast because they keep me satiated until lunch - and have tried other high protein foodsโฆ

Fruit like apples and strawberries are not the best to prepare ahead of time - I have found they don't keep well. Maybe prepare everything else you like in your salad in something airtight and cut the fruit that will spoil on the day. I have read somewhere that storing things in water in the fridge helps - but I tried thisโฆ

I'm going to work on weekends not sabotaging my good efforts during the week and plan for a meal and drinks out etc and work them into my calorie goal. Also try and only do it for one day rather than Friday, Saturday and Sunday ๐ฌ

I'm 4 lbs away from a 4 stone weight loss (56lbs) And 21 lbs total away from my goal. Total weight loss will be 77lbs. I really want to be there by my birthday in April ๐
