  • I agree - I don't buy any low fat/ calorie foods - unsurprisingly the full fat versions taste better 😁 A portion of full fat Greek yoghurt for example will keep me full a lot longer than a non fat version. Tell a lie - I buy low calorie tonic water for Gin 😁
  • Breakfast - avocado toast x2 with chilli flakes, spinach, scrambled eggs and cherry tomatoes. Apple. Lunch / Dinner - chicken and broccoli with a garlic, mushroom, creme fraiche sauce. Protien bar
  • Brilliant post I put on 7lbs over the Christmas period from eating and drinking ALL of it 😳 I got back on plan 4 days ago and weighed in just now and 6lbs are gone 😁 I hope to shift the extra pound by the end of the week. Happy New Year!
  • Breakfast - Scrambled eggs with spinach and seeded toast with marmite. Snack - handful of almonds - protien bar x2 Lunch / dinner - chicken with creamy mushroom, garlic sauce and broccoli.
  • It's basically this. Regardless of what diet you're following it's all about the calories.
  • I'm aiming for a 14 day streak of 15,000 steps a day. With cycling 10 - 15 miles 2 times per week. I'm doing well so far in 2022 🤣
  • Avocado toast with chilli flakes, scrambled eggs and cherry tomatoes.
  • Breakfast - Wholemeal pitta bread with scrambled eggs, avocado and tomatoes. Lunch - BBQ chicken Dinner - Turkey chilli with broccoli Protien bar.
  • I'm not American - maybe his 'humour' is lost in translation 🤢 But all 'jokes' aside I agree with you that all diets are a fad. To reduce your weight and to be able to sustain the weight loss - you need to consume foods you enjoy - preferably healthy ones - but why would you eat foods you don't enjoy? And I hate to say it…
  • Yes I am stuck. I totally lost the plot with food / alcohol over Christmas and got back to my routine only yesterday 🙄 I had a solid 2 weeks of over eating. The binges / hormones are keeping me 20 lbs overweight. It's a constant battle. I hope what you say is true that hormones settle - because mine seem to want me to be…
  • My sleep is awful at the moment! I think the excess of Christmas on my diet and exercise routine plays a big part in that. I sleep so much better when back in my normal routine. I don't eat or drink anything with calories for at least 3hrs before bed. I also don't have anything with caffeine after 3pm. Alcohol plays havoc…
  • I used to practice Vipassana meditation in India and would like to get back into it. https://www.dhamma.org/en/index
  • I also found stretches unhelpful. Nothing changed until I changed my shoes. My last flare up of PF was around 2013 I haven't worn inappropriate shoes since and it has never come back. I miss wearing pretty summer sandals etc - but it's just not worth it!
  • That Dr Berg dude is one of the creepiest 'influencers' I've ever seen 🤢 He gives me bad vibes - like there is something sinister about him other than his insincerity! I appreciate that Keto along with other 'diets' work for some people - but it's pretty faddy IMO and few people are able to sustain it in the long run. All…
  • Greek yoghurt with cinnamon, handful of almonds and sliced apple.
  • Ouch! I used to suffer with plantar fascitis - it can be crippling. It's all about the shoes - no matter how much you rest if you're wearing the wrong shoes it will not heal. I tried everything and found that getting my gait measured and investing in Asics trainers changed my life! I find orthotics unhelpful and that it's…
  • I believe that our body chemistry wants us to be at a certain weight and it is a fight to go below that but not impossible. I think that keeping weight off means fighting your body’s energy-regulation system and battling hunger all day, every day, for the rest of your life. 😳 It sounds dramatic but if I am not vigilant…
  • B - Scrambled eggs with buttered toast. Satsuma No lunch. D- Turkey chilli with wholewheat penne, broccoli and cheese ( way overportioned! ) 2x large Gin and Tonic 3x red wine. Peanut butter chocolate bar. 😬
  • I've been on quite a few 'diets' they failed. What has worked for me is counting calories and playing around with macros and meal times so I feel satiated. Also drumming into my head that it's a lifestyle not a temporary fix. Something I can maintain and enjoy - being hungry and missing out on life because I'm dieting…
  • Greek yoghurt ( the full fat version ) with cinnamon, apple and almonds
  • callsitlikeiseeit said - 'Deprivation is the key to Binging and falling off the wagon. Learn how to fit your favorite things in regularly. There are no 'bad foods' Just 'bad quantities' I agree with this totally. I don't know anything about the 'Judd' Diet but it sounds faddy and unsustainable to me. I've played around…
  • Like everyone has said it's all about correct calorie tracking. With a food scale - guesstimates don't work. It's really easy to go way over your calories with drinks and condiments too or if you're picking at food throughout the day. At your weight you should definitely be losing at 2300 cals a day. Tweak the calorie…
  • I'm not Indian but I have spent a lot of time in India and am aware of the kind of food that's available. Where in India are you? Wherever you are the access to fresh ingredients is amazing and diverse and cheap 😊 Which is what you want. The MFP recipes are pretty difficult to make for anyone outside the US. I'm in the UK…
  • I'm into batch cooking at the moment - curries, chilli's, lasagne, fish with veggies, soups, and the odd piece of chicken 😁 Almost anything can be batch cooked, portioned out / frozen and taken to work if you have somewhere to heat it up.
  • Lol I can relate to that STARVING feeling! I have recently re evaluated my goal weight to be at BMI 21 so I am around 30 lbs away. It's good advice to eat at maintenance calories - especially this time of year!
  • And to add - I totally agree about enjoying the exercise you're doing! I love outdoor activities and they are not just for weight loss - they are also for my well being. But I would like to introduce some strength training now I'm getting nearer goal and older! I just don't find it fun at all. I hate the gym or any sort of…
  • Thanks everyone- I was looking at 'sedentary ' 😄 I've changed it to lightly active - and it's come up with more calories. I will change it in the summer months when I'm exercising more. I recently changed my goal weight from 160 to 140 - I'm not sure how I will feel/ look at that weight but I want to lose around 15 /18 lbs…
  • @AnnPT77 Yes maybe eating at goal maintenance is also an option - I'm 15/ 20 lbs from where I want to be - so maybe that could work. Or with the other strategy of eating under that goal when I'm able. Did you find a deficit difficult when you where nearer to goal? I'm blaming my lack of drive on being unwell and I'm pretty…
  • I'm going to write a weight loss book It's a short story - it will say. ' Eat less calories ' The End £29.99 😁
