I'm sorry to hear that. This sucks. I mean, I'm super happy that you're sticking to your lifestyle and obviously enjoying the benefits! But the actions of your friends not being willing to enjoy your company simply because your eating habits are different...sucks. It just does. I hope you can prove them wrong that salads…

1. Completed a brutal lower body HIIT and then strength workout today. The NSV? I pushed myself hard enough during the 15mins of HIIT I couldn't lift as heavy as usual for the strength portion. The second NSV? I was admittedly a bit discouraged about not being able to lift very heavy. When I decided to do the exercises…

No worries! I enjoyed the laugh very much

Seriously snorted and about spit out my water over here  between losing weight and having just weaned the baby...YES. The girls are in such sorry state at the moment. Hahahaha!

Ran a timed mile yesterday as part of a regular fitness test I do. First mile in 6m or more. I pushed hard and the whole time I was just hoping to come in at 9:30 or so. Imagine my surprise when I finished in 8:19! WOO!

So they DO disappear!? I've had one since college and I've been wondering if there was even a chance it would someday disappear. Good to know it *may* that's better than thinking I'm stuck with it forever!

Tonight I wore a pair of pre 2nd baby shorts and a pretty tank top I had all but given up on ever wearing again! (We hope for more kids and I had given up on account of wanting to get pregnant again soon) ... :open_mouth: Which I guess that means I've done what I set out to do! :o  My goal was to lose the baby weight…

I'm now in the "overweight' BMI category instead of obese. Woo! Though, I'm wondering how much stock I should put in the measurement itself since it's based on a weight correlation. Using the BMI there's no real way to reflect the health of a person who is small in measurements but heavy in weight on account of the muscle.…

YES!!! Haha last weekend we went out for donuts as a family with some friends. I had prepared and set myself up to have the necessary calories for the family experience. I was prepared to throughly enjoy the donut. And then I got (mentally) flustered when they didn't have any donut flavors that I actually wanted to spend…

 thank you!! I definitely think the stupid grin I get while running in the am's will be plastered to my face for quite some time.

This is exactly how I feel now. I've started eating my giant salads for lunch on the weekends. I'll even pack it with when my husband and I take the kids to a park because when I don't have it something just feels...off. It's a huge portion of my veggies that I totally count on and crave! And this is doubly funny for me…

I forget that emojis cut off the post. Here's what's missing from the post above... ...Now, 6 months of tracking later and that fat is FINALLY starting to really come off instead of just slowly dropping off here and there. Go figure. I weaned the baby 2 weeks ago. HA! AHHHHH!! I am over the moon right now!!

Ok, this does include a small scale victory but that little bit is representative of so much more! Yeah!! I try not to take too much stock in the scale but it totally feels nice to 1. See some of my more stubborn areas start to decrease in size. 2. See my weight decrease by about 3lbs 3. Know my strength is not decreasing!…

Way too go!! I've been logging consistently since Nov. and I've also had to take a break here and there. I've been impressed that I still eat the same foods and amounts while on break but the mental effort of logging is removed and it gives me a good breather which in turn motivates me to continue with a renewed mindset.…

As I'm weaning my 2nd baby I'm having to cut calories more and more to keep the slow and steady weight loss going...and I've been behaving like a toddler b/c I'm unhappy about it ;) ...but looking at this thread these last few days has helped put me at peace about the new numbers. I CAN do this! Thanks for the inspiration…

Yes!! I've been noticing this too! So happy to have it back :)

Also, one more. Ok a few more. I used to be a runner. But an injury sidelined me in college and then I pursued to get my mental health in order before committing myself to exercise in the future. (Exercise was a form of purging for me...NO MORE!!) Working out with fitnessblender free YouTube videos has be instrumental in…

This mayyyyy cross over the line into TMI...But I'm sharing it anyway! :D Over the years as I've progressed towards the healthy lifestyle I've always longed for my mental health (concerning thoughts about my body and my ability to be positive even when not perfect) have also improved IMMENSLEY. Win #1 because this was a…

I took the 1yr old outside with the 3yo yesterday. I noticed quite readily that 1. I wasn't exhausted and wanting to only sit and let the 3yo play alone instead of expending the energy to play "with" him. 2. Sitting on a couple of picnic blankets with the not-yet-walking 1yo wasn't uncomfortable! 3. In fact, getting up and…

It IS wonderful!! I'm sorry that your bones are so uncomfortable but yet so excited that it's "better than it used to be." I remember having similar (yet backwards) experiences as I put on weight. Things like noticing that my stomach was resting on my thighs as I sat, or my legs rubbing through the inner thigh portion of…

Despite the fact that I am on the take end of my cycle I woke up today and had to snap a picture b/c I couldn't believe how SKINNY I looked and felt!! I felt almost like I was "myself" again (pre baby body) It's not that I have felt awful in this post baby body, I just never grew accustomed to the realities of being…

That's AWESOME that you healed your stomach! The human body is just amazing. I think it's really incredible that for some people eating 5 meals a day HEALS them and for others eating that often keeps their insulin levels too high so an intermittent fasting schedule works for their body. It's so awesome (yet frustrating at…

Also, this may be weird but please forgive me. I just re-read my post. That last paragraph where I mention that someone (you) calls it "science light" wasn't supposed to be in there! I felt it was too direct and "attacking" and back handed in a way so I removed it, because that's just not my gig. I specifically remember…

Ah, yes. I would agree that the literal concept of eating "wearing out" the stomach does sound science light. I think I read/interpreted wrong. Oops! Let me see if Ican figure out why I read the comment the way I did. I think perhaps I was thinking that since most of the researched benefits of IF come from letting…

Yep! That's the Dr. Fung I'm referring to! He does deal with kidney problems! (As I stated in my above posts) And most (but not all) of his patients have kidney problems because of their type 2 diabetes. He really desires to treat the whole patient. So he went back to school and became specialized in treating the…

You should just go check out Dr. Fung, his story, and the research on PubMed.com Currently the medical community treats Diabetes (type 1) with insulin because that's the problem, too little insulin. We also treat type 2 diabetes with insulin because it's assumed that the problem is the same (because of the way we test for…

You should look up Dr. Fung. There is actually a TON of very reliable research about how the body benefits from having a break from digestion. Reguardless of how it enables a person to stick to a calorie deficit. A body in fasted state reduces insulin and increases your bodies sensitivity to it thereby reversing insulin…

WOAH. I've totally been doing this and only half admitting/realizing it. I think I was just telling myself "my 2nd baby is one now and I don't lose fat well while breastfeeding also I want more kids so I guess this is all I'm gonna get for now." NOPE. We're going allllll the way!

Go search YouTube for videos featuring Dr. Fung. He's and MD who re educated himself on what food does in the body. He's got 2 books out contains the science behind IF. Obesity Code and The Conplete Guide to Fasting. He now treats obese and type 2 diabetic patients through IF. Many patients come off their meds entirely.…
