Hey everyone! Welcome to all new members and welcome back to all of the amazing returning members! My name is Jen and I’ve been on this journey a awhile now but I’m okay with that! I’m 45 and live in Calgary Alberta Canada. I’m currently working from home and have started getting into a much better routine. I’ve been doing…

I think many of us are in the same boat as you this week. The first week of self isolation was a challenge.

You sound like me - a nice cup of tea and a workout is a great start to the day. This is definitely going to be a roller coaster ride of emotions. Good for you for focusing on some of the positives in life!

Take care @mellane30! This working from home is new for me this week. I think I need to get fresh air every day. I’m going to give that a try and see if it helps me.

Does anyone have My Fitness Pal Premium? I’m thinking of signing up to see if that will give me some additional tools to help me plan and focus

Being stuck inside and working from home is so HARD!! My husband is taking care of the kids and he doesn’t have the most patience so I find myself having to moderate teaching lessons and jumping in to help more than I would like to. I’m this is a huge adjustment and I have to remember everyone is going through it. I’m…

Nice loss!

Hi Tami - it quite yet. Not like where mari_moulin is yet. Although people on my neighbourhood Facebook page are not happy seeing kids together at the park. I don’t know where this will go (because we are trying to get ahead of and flatten the curve of cases) but I fear it will get worse. Today is my first day working from…

We were hit with self-isolating here in Calgary. My family and I are all fine but it was certainly a challenge to stay indoors. I did okay except for some baking I did. Tomorrow will be back to the schedule regardless of working from home or office. If I work from home I think I’m going to pack my lunch as I would for the…

Awesome idea!

Some of that will be water for sure and will come off on no time. Sounds like you already have a plan to put last week behind you!

Congrats @mari_moulin and @FormerlyFit48!

It’s so cold and blizzardy here today. All I want to do is lie on the couch, watch movies and eat chips and baked goods all weekend!!! But I won’t! Goals for the weekend: 1. Workout both mornings 2. Get at least 10K steps each day 3. Get my 100oz of water in at least 4. Weigh and log everything

That small loss will come off in no time!

Focus on one thing that will really make you feel good about your day and feel more in control. Is it logging your food so you will be under or at your calorie goal? Or is it getting your steps in. I know moving more for me is what helps me feel better no matter what. Today is a new day - look forward bit backward!

Go Tami!!!

Sodium is my biggest enemy for sure! You are a winner!

I had a great Tuesday: Goals for today: 1. Log and weight everything✅ 2. Walk at lunch✅ 3. Drink at least 60oz of water at work✅ 4. No snacking when I get home from work - this is huge for me✅ 5. Tuesday Check In I was so happy that I did t gain over the weekend. I tracked everything I ate which motivated me to stay away from the junk. I hope to keep the momentum up this week. So far I am down .6 from my weigh in. Goals for today: 1. Log and weight everything 2. Walk at lunch 3. Drink at least 60oz of water at work…

Wow! That is a good drop @mari_moulin! I’ve often heard that sometimes we eat too few calories at times. I hope the trend continues for you! I’m at about the same calories level as your low number and the same macros but my weight loss is still a snails pace. I’m still working on forming some of my other good habits like…

Checking in after a few busy days. I’ve had a good week and see the scale droppings every day. I’ve been consistently walking at lunch, drinking my water at work, logging what I eat. I’ve known for a long time that this is what I need to do but it’s that consistency and making myself a higher priority that gets in the way…
