I packed on the pounds since my dads diagnosis in June of last year until his death in September. Depression and grief are horrible. I've finally started walking everyday which has helped tremendously along with lots of praying. Also I started Zoloft which has made a huge difference as well. You're in my thoughts and…

HIIT Training gave me the extra boost!

Feel free to add me! I have an open diary and can always use motivation.

I always try to save my calories for the evenings. I love making chicken alfredo or bang bang shrimp with zucchini noodles. For a lighter supper, I usually go for a turkey sandwich on white wheat bread (less than 200 calories) and some cheese grits (100 calories a pack).

I just take my fitbit off when I get on the elliptical then log that workout manually.

I'm hoping to be 4 to 5 pounds lighter by next Friday. Haven't weighed since Saturday so that gives me 2 weeks. Bigger goal is 20-25 pounds by Easter.

LadyBug loves her evening walks with me! Definitely a motivator even though in this picture, she was less than happy! haha!

Anyone can add me! I have an open diary and 67 pounds to lose!!

I have been so discouraged lately. I've been counting calories and being more active since November. I've lost 8 pounds, but haven't seen the scale budge in a few weeks. However, I've finally realized through MFP that weight loss takes time and patience. So, I'm still at it...every...single...day! Hoping more steps and a…

Did you change your caffeine intake drastically?

I currently suffer from depression. It is extremely hard to get moving most days whether going to work, going for a walk, getting a shower, etc. MFP has been a blessing. I am really focused on counting calories and exercising which has helped me tremendously...along with some meds from my doctor. Don't give up! Feel free…

I quit smoking in June of last year after we found out my 59 year old daddy had Stage 4 Lung Cancer...cold turkey...for a few months. Since his death in September, I have occasionally had a cigarette or two while drinking. Now that I'm focused on losing weight and getting healthy, my drinking has almost completely dried…

Hey add me! I'm 26 and want to lose 75 pounds total. Already lost 8 so 67 more to go!

I'm in! I try to stay away from the constant stream of tasty treats in the teachers' lounge. I do indulge some days though. It's hard to pass up King Cake and cheesy shrimp fetticine! I just make sure to stick to my calorie goals. I stopped snacking during my planning periods and breaks and started drinking flavored water…

I in no way think that aspartame is scary...like I said, I'm an avid diet coke drinker. I do not think that anything in diet coke will give me or anyone else cancer in this lifetime. That's why I said GALLONS. The point of my original comment was to encourage her not to worry about aspartame and other things in diet coke…

Oh my goodness, nothing that I said was false information. Early research suggests that large amounts of artificial sweeteners can lead to forms of cancer. This is why I said "gallons." I am fully aware that there are nut case doctors in this world, but my brothers are not part of that group. And I'm not sure how…

Actually yes...my oldest brother is a physician and youngest is a nurse practitioner. So yes I've done some research. However, I am in no way a medical/health expert. This is why my comments were more general and not full of percentages and statistics like some "know-it-alls" like to give on here. I was simply offering…

Yes this! ^^^^^^ Zero calorie drinks make us think we can eat more. It's nothing more complicated than that. Plus there are some chemicals in diet drinks that may lead to cancer....but that's if you drink gallons of it a day for years. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just make sure to get in your 8 glasses of water…

I stopped smoking in June and gained 20 pounds. I've started using MFP to get back on track and lose that weight plus more. There are some days I just want to start smoking again so it'll be easier not to eat haha but it's a helluva lot harder to run then!

I think this is a great idea! Do not listen to the negativity. Adults should be held accountable for their own actions. Blaming the competition for a person's own bad decisions is ridiculous. A little friendly competition is a good thing and I do not think it promotes unhealthy weight loss. Not all healthcare providers are…

Weight loss doesn't really affect BP that much. Weight loss is the result of eating healthier and exercising which is what lowers BP. It's normal to get off BP meds after good lifestyle changes.
