Thank you! Yeah my Fitbit says I burn about 500 cals a day but I feel like that’s an overestimate. Idk
-
Nope not pregnant lol
-
Okay thank you everybody ! This has been super helpful. Exactly what I needed ! @VintageFeline I haven’t lost any weight in the last two weeks but before that I was still losing about a pound a month while in maintance calories so I guess it was a bit too low but i think it’s mostly mental because I’m just not used to…
-
No I haven’t but I’ll check that out now. Thanks :)
-
Lol yeah I guess there’s just a little bit of fear seeing such high number of calories haha but you’re right. I think it’s mental
-
I meant a break from tracking. I already eat at maintance calories and my weight has either been stable or slowly going down still so I feel like at this point, I know how to eat for my body, I’m just a little addicted to the process of tracking
-
Yeah thank you!!! This is what I’m going to try
-
I think it just matters what works better for you mentally. There’s definitely a value in looking at the net calories of the week instead of the day if you find yourself to be more hungry on some days than others. But yeah, for some people I think that’s easier mentally because they have varying appetites or triggers on…

I know! I’m prone to the obsession so I this is what I need to do
-
I totally relate wth this! ive also found that I’ve gotten quite obsessive with it and that I,super regimented so I’m now in the process of trying to loosen the reigns! We’ll get there!! Going over by even 10 cals used to give me genuine anxiety but now that I’m even thinner than my original goal weight, I know there’s no…

100% I would still weigh myself once a week like I do now :)
-
I make my food mostly from scratch and pre prepare it wth some minimally processed ingredients and a few simple packaged foods that are easy to track. I use a food scale and make sure I have my food made before I go out but this really isn’t super practical for everyone. I think inn the beginning it can be important to be…
-
No my weight went down so it must be the Fitbit. I just manually adjusted the calorie goal to 1800, thanks everyone
-
i do. How would that affect it.? Does it start to guess how much I burn/?
-
Yeah I did
-
Okay thank you!! That's very helpful :)
-
I got 17k steps today and it says a burn of 800 calories. That seems insane
-
It wasn't giving me steps because I wear it on my non dominant hand but I think it ups calories for just heart rate because I only did a couple light walks. It gave me 7000k steps (which makes sense) but the calorie burn was like 600. Never seen that on my garmin
-
My only splurge day is today, all homemade food and I logged what I could then just added about thousand calories for all the snacking lol
-
I'm really not entirely sure what you mean by the variables but thanks! I'm glad it will get better :)
-
does it do that sometimes?
-
Yeah it is . Food isn't syncing on Fitbit either yet both say connected :(
-
Thank you so much. This makes perfect sense to me. Exactly what I needed to hear for now. :) but yes, I'll definitely keep track of it on a weight app but I think you're likely right :)
-
Yes I track and measure everything every single day :) so perhaps a bit lower than they suggest?
-
I was in a deficit for about 8 months ? With a couple weeks off here and there. So reverse dieting would be a more gradual increase in calories?
-
Lol yeah that's basically what I did but faaaaar less intensively than you did. I've done this with salad bars and burrito bowls before though. Way to go on this one!
-
Yeah that's basically what I did lol! Sure it's a pretty big variance from one place to the next but since you the only on occasion, I agree- good enough for me
-
I agree 100%. I am at goal weight now any way and focusing on recomp but either way, some quality memories with family is totally worth it especially when the rest of your life is generally balanced and Heath promoting :)

I'm vegan. Feel free to add. Diary is also public

I would recommend a blood test to check iron, zinc and b12. Also did you significantly reduce carbs? Cause that could do it too.
