Your not alone, replace 'boyfriend' with 'mum' and you have almost exactly the same post I made a couple hours ago. You need to remember that your doing this for you. If other people are happy around you when you lose weight, that's a bonus, but the most important person you are doing this for is you.

Asking how to stay motivated when the scales don't move? Sounds like the right thread to me! As far as the rest goes, it sounds like your doing all the right things! What's your aim? 109-113 sounds very light to me, but then again even when I have lost my weight I will be at approx. double what you are at now.

Done! Your nearing the end of a journey that I'm just starting. Amazing to hear from someone that has already done it! In truth, I'm actually hoping you will keep me motivated having already been and done what I'm doing, but I'm sure we can help each other.

I may have miss-understood the concept, I was thinking of fasting as going several days at a time without food. Sorry for the confusion.

I think the responses you have above are great. I admit I don't have much experience with depression, but as far as that part of your brain that's telling you 'what's the point in losing the weight?' We all have that! There is always a part of you that will hold you back and think 'why I am I doing all this?' or 'Why not…

Intermittent fasting seems like an unhealthy way to loose weight. Have you considered a calorie controlled diet? Swapping high calorie food and drink for lower calorie alternatives would be a more healthy way of losing the weight.

Depending on how much weight you need to loose, my advice would be, if you really need to snack, then do it. That's of course not to say reach for the biscuits, but instead replace what you snack on with a healthy alternative. Carrot sticks are the first thing that springs to mind, but if your anything like me... bleh!…

That's fantastic, and really does show that you can have 'those days' and still pick yourself up and carry on! A positive result on the scale at the end of the week instead of on a daily basis is what its all about. I've made that mistake in the past, where I weighed myself every single day, and got really deflated if it…

Your not the only one that is in this sort of situation. Two weeks ago I decided to make another attempt to loose the weight, and hopefully this time will be the last time. At the same time I started a video diary documenting my weight loss, but also talking about issues regarding being overweight and issues with loosing…

Wow XXXL to a M that's impressive! It sounds like your doing really well, and its definitely some good advice.

In that case, welcome @lovely614 & @RoseTea23 Of course I say that, but I've also only started posting on here in the last 24 hours! Anyways, student life must have changed! When I think student and meals, I tend to think... 'ok, what can I make with this bag of pasta, two left over sausages, and this soon to expire tomato…

I've seen the message above posted at least a dozen times today, it's word for word every time no matter the subject.

It may not be the food diary that you are talking about, I just started that today, but I have been keeping a video diary documenting my progress, in order to keep both myself and others motivated. If your interested here's the link https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZywsUNU8WbDIS8rzob1y4g Otherwise, I'll be keeping my MFP…

There are a few members of my family who think in a similar way. They seem to think that as long as food hasn't got a lot of sugar in it, then it's both healthy and slimming. My Nan will make a dish, with tons of sauce and half a pound of cheese grated over the top, and tell me I can eat as much as I want and will continue…

Have done, thnaks

21.47% Wow, that is really specific. Well done so far! I thought I had it rough loosing 140lb, but 200, wow that must be tough.

Yep, I said goodbye to my twenties last May... it sucks, but it sounds like it can also be a great bench mark for you. I was the same. I've actually been signed up on here for 6 months, but today is the first time I'm getting involved. If I'd have started my weight loss 6months ago, I wouldn't have carried on gaining…

Depends on the corner and the speed your traveling at... If it's a tight corner at high speed, the natural G-force will push you to the opposite side of the turn. If it's a gentle corner and you are leaning into it, it's because the body naturally wants to move in the direction you are looking in, so if you were walking…

Wait until they're cold, then tap them once on a hard surface so that the shell cracks then roll it with the palm of your hand. That's my method. The shell should peel off really easily. And your welcome :)

It's possible I may have miss-read the OP... Now being in December... and assuming the month you were giving up was... well you can see where I'm going with this. Anywho's Congratulations to everyone that made it!
-
Your right, your being really stupid... you know what you've got to do, and how to do it, and you just keep putting it off... like I said, 'stoopid, stoopid, stoopid, stoopid!' And yet we all do exactly the same! Up until two weeks ago, I did the same thing every day for months! The turning point for me was seeing myself…

Yeah, I've made a few short term goals. The scales I have in the bathroom go up to 330lbs which is why I say approx. I'm going to get some more today or tomorrow so that I can get an accurate fix on my weight, but my first goal is to get onto my current scales at 330lbs. After that, get under 300lbs... I was looking today…

1. what happens if I mix up hair remover with body wash? 2. how long does chest hair take to grow back after you used hair remover?

Hardest time will be the weekends? I would have thought Christmas, Boxing day and New Years Eve would have been the hardest days! December is possibly the worst month to give up, so I say the VERY BEST of luck to you! If you can keep it up Congratulations! you'll most definitely deserve it!

Hey, I'm new here too... My introduction post is currently the next one up :) I'm trying to loose 140 lbs and am a big gamer, though for the record I left WoW when they changed the talent system and dumbed down the game... and what is it with freakin' heirlooms in BG's! Anyways, that enough geek talk out for now! It would…

Wow, that was quick, thank you. I'm going to be doing another couple of videos this afternoon, but it's always a great feeling when people view the video's and subscribe. It really is great motivation to keep on going.

This may seem a little odd, but I've had success in the past with boiled eggs. I used to boil a couple in the morning and keep them in the fridge. If I got the munchies later in the day I could take one out, peal it and eat it. they are oddly filling and only 65-85 calories (depending on the size). They are also considered…
