My reason the first time was because I was going through my divorce and wanted to feel good about myself and to feel like I could move on with another man when I was ready and be comfortable with how I looked when I did. After putting a little back on my body, I realize the effect it's had on my energy and my ability to…

Single mom of 3 young children here. I work full time with a 45min commute one way. I wake up early to get my workout in. I prep meals to freeze on the weekends. I get my rest on the weekends. If all you are wanting to do is lose weight, then eat at a deficit. If you are wanting to strength train and tone then you will…

@StaciMarie1974 - Ya I am not concerned how fast the weight comes off, its the sustainability as you mentioned, that I need to be sure I can keep up with and be successful! @Lemurcat12 - This was the exact thought I had. To up to what may be a more reasonable intake, and see what happens (giving it a few weeks to truly…

I did twice already, which, outside of my first water weight drop shouldn't be happening So perhaps upping the intake to even out a little more of the exercise burn. I don't feel I need to lose 2lbs/week, its a marathon, not a race, I just want to do it in a healthy manor that isn't causing my body harm.
-
I am losing steadily, but I also just added in the strength and still losing... I feel like adding that in should have stalled my weight loss temporarily and yet it hasn't.

I love turkey meatloaf muffins. I add in spinach, onion, peppers etc and top with my favorite bbq sauce near the end.

I find for me its not discipline... its what drives me to want to obtain that end result. I WANT to keep up with my kids and be as healthy for them as I can. For me? That's all I need to find the ability to get up and workout, not eat that chocolate cause it doesn't fit my calories that day etc. Perhaps finding what you…

I use goats cheese as one of my dairy substitutions for my lactose intolerance. Sorbets are a great frozen treat to have. As the user above said, Lactaid milk, I use this if I really want milk. I am not sure of your severity, but my doctor recommended trying cheeses that have been aged longer and are drier. The lactose is…

I use my treadmill daily. I am slowly doing intervals and working up to running a distance. I'm not following c25k but I am doing a very similar idea.

For those here who have C-sections, does anyone have a transverse and traditional incision on their uterus? This is a major issue for me as my core strengthening and ab workouts will never be intense.
-
I am not a night time exercise person at all... but I do know that when I am done exercising I don't binge or eat crappy food cause I think "that will undo all the good I just did!". Not saying this will work... but its worth a shot. Also... floss and brush after supper! That minty taste will help discourage the eating…

I agree with this. 100% hands down. My schedule: 4:40am - workout 6:00am - shower/get ready 6:30am - wake up 3 kids 7:10am - leave house and deliver to daycare and before school care (2 in school and one is 2.5yrs old) 7:30am - 30min commute to work 8:00am-4:00pm - Work 5:00pm - get home with all kids 5-6:30pm - homework,…

OP asked for thoughts. I said my thoughts. In my life, where I live and what I do, the arguments on the environment and meat production always revolves around either GMO-free or Vegans/vegetarians. We sell our byproducts not only as a way to maximize profit, but to reduce waste. 100 years ago, all parts of the animals were…

That's a really interesting list, and more proof that I'm too lazy to be vegan (this is not news to me, but the list was). Thanks for sharing it.[/quote] No problem! And I agree.. vegetarian is one thing... but saying your a vegan (and condemning those who aren't and enjoy meat) without really knowing where animal by…

Thanks! I truly believe the impact on the environment has everything to do with the farming methods adopted by the company. One issue that always comes up as mentioned above are the emissions that are released. Well... that's coming from cow *kitten* and wont matter where those cows are... that's gonna happen. As well as…

Oh man... so many thing to laugh about here. I agree that every time we progress with new technology and new concepts we are impacting the environment. But to minimize livestock being raised to help minimize our carbon footprint? I am hoping everyone is well educated enough to know HOW many products we use daily that are…

I have three people in my life that are all Beachbody Coaches..... I hear this all the dang time!!! Its annoying.

I also don't log those smaller items: PAM, Hot sauce, Coffee etc. I actually adjusted my calories to have a 100cal "margin of error" so that if I mislog or something like cake (which we never really know for sure) I have that cushion already in my daily logging. I also don't eat back exercise calories which helps account…

Jerky Hummus and veggies Fruit (grapes are great to snack slowly on) Air popped popcorn half a cantaloupe filled with plain greek yogurt Most of mine are low calorie as I have a desk job and I find having something to snack on within my calories helps keep me from eating the treats and such that are constantly brought into…

That!!! Exactly! I don't lay in bed at night thinking "dang why did I eat that extra *fill in yummy food here* before bed?" and then laying there for an hour waiting to feel less full before being able to fall asleep.!!!

Yep! Definitely happens! 3kids and 2 were C-section. I have more in my hips and losing fast in my waist (actually I usually have a 10-12" difference from my natural waist to my hip) The tummy pooch at the bottom for me will never fully disappear. I have made my peace with that! lol!

I had a lot of stress in my life for the past 7 months. I had to really find WHERE that stress was truly coming from to fix it. I started on melatonin at night to help me sleep, but as I was able to truly FIX the issues I was able to slowly stop taking the aid at night to sleep.

@noclady1995 - Trust me... it is not a piece of cake (mmmm cake) but I did it once and even though I let myself slip for a few months due to other things in life, I plan to lose it all again and determination is what drives my bus :)

My children are 7, 5 and 2.5 years old. I work full time (30min commute one way) and a single mom. It is NOT easy to get that workout in. It is NOT easy to eat healthy after a night of no sleep and you feel more hungry than usual cause your body is fighting to stay awake. It is NOT easy to hold it together and still deal…

My advice (maybe not the best and other may have better) is to think of the week as a big block of calories.. if you wanna over indulge on the weekend, maybe eat 100cals less a day than you normally would.. what's your drink? Can you substitute with diet or low cal mixes? I gave up drinking for my first 2 months on here,…

Also remember that your uterus is still shrinking and going back to where it was so your 'water bed belly' (that's what I called it) may take a bit before it starts shrinking and firming up because some may not be fat to be lost. Good luck with your journey!!!

I used to live in a city. I had to adjust the time of day and where I went for my jogs because of this same issue. I had to go to a very well used park and only went during hours the sun was out. In Canada you can only buy pepper spray with the INTENTION of using it on an animal, so it's a little tricky to get in some…

I do one sided planks, Russian twists with weight, leg lifts and bicycles The only thing I would say is pay attention to your body! Know the difference between that really good burn and the actual pain that can come from putting too much on that incision. I have had two c-section and my second ended me in having a…

I do jumping jacks/running on the spot and dancing to music. It helps!!! I know what it's like to be stuck in doors for various reasons!!!

Lol! Yes... pain in the *kitten* for sure.. and after as well until your body gets used to the movement!
