  • That's fantastic! I've been eating healthy and carefully all day because my kids have requested homemade pizza tonight...
  • I am a popcorn addict as well as a peanut butter addict... I refuse to go to counselling for it cause I ain't a quitter.. That being said, I pre-pop popcorn and use "butter flavours" spray and popcorn seasoning, then measure a bag it so I have basically "chip sized bags" in my pantry for the evening (No I have no self…
  • I did! I got it on bestbuy, but they are on amazon, Walmart etc! They are inexpensive and work great.
  • No idea but I had a Misfit flash for 4 years and loved it! They sell for about $35 (CND) and the app is super great and links to MFP
  • My kids. They are young and full of energy. I want to keep up with them everyday and still have the energy to take some time in the evening after they are in bed for myself, not just collapse and crash because I haven't taken good enough care of my body.
  • My favorited to travel with are (keep in mind I travel 8hrs one way very frequently to visit my sister and take my three small children...): Beef jerky (high protein and filling) Popcorn (prepop and bag in servings you measure) Veggies Apple slices and bananas Pita wraps (wrapped in tin foil to hold shape and eat while…
  • I did Weight Watchers the first time I lost my baby weight and only gained back cause I was pregnant with baby #3. I choice MFP and CICO because of the cost to go back to Weight Watchers was unrealistic for me and I wanted the support still without the meetings. I learnt a lot of good eating habits and portion control…
  • Are you doing any sort of cardio with this? Not saying that is the answer, but I find my weight loss is much more effective if I am at least going for a fast paced walk daily. Weight loss happens for everyone differently. I find I have a big drop at the beginning and then slow right down. Others start slow and see it. Are…
  • It will also help eliminate barley also, so it will be a very effective option for you! I don't eat gluten free so I can't speak to the corn free options as I know that can be a grain used to substitute in some gluten free foods
  • I'm not sure if this will help, but since people who are Celiac very often develop a dairy sensitivity also (have 4 in my family) many of the gluten free foods are also dairy/egg/nut free. You have to of course read the labels, but many brands are. Proteins, veggies and fruit will be your friend! Something like stuffed…
  • Agreed, listen to what your body needs so you don't burn out and just quit. My rest days still include long walks and yoga to keep my body moving, but I don't put the stress on it.
  • Agree with swimming being a great option. Also biking! I have never had surgery like that, but have juvenile arthritis in my ankles and have sprained them so often I have my own crutches at home
  • Misfit syncs! I had the flash for 4 years and loved it. I was tempted by the Ray but wanted a HR monitor so switched to Fitbit Blaze. Hope that helps! (Also the set up And syncing for misfit is super simple and very easy and manageable app!)
  • I would do a combo of cardio and small strength workouts. Slowly incorporate ab workouts as you feel you can handle them. I always have to take my ab workouts slow due to my c-sections and the way my incisions are. But hard work and perseverance and you will get there!!
  • A backroad with no traffic and something to make noise to scare off moose and cougars......
  • The new Core De Force program is a killer workout and fantastic!!!
  • Weighing food is much more accurate! Good for you! I always still pay attention to how big those portions are on my plate so when I am somewhere I can't weight my food, I can still be as accurate as possible! Calories burned are usually over estimated on more apps and trackers unfortunately, be careful if you are eating…
  • I don't follow the slimfast program at all, however I can speak to their pre-mixed shakes and that they help me greatly to control hunger and be an easy option for me once a day (sometimes twice if I get close to bed time and haven't hit my calorie goal yet) Good for you and taking the first step to help yourself no matter…
  • I am doing a combo of both right now. I find it's been effective so far and all My working out is strictly home based
  • I see nothing wrong with that at all. I don't eat my calories back on a day to day basis as I am losing and not maintaining. However, if I want to go out for a beer and hot wings with friends once a month or so, I will totally put in that extra time on my treadmill to fit it in instead of taking the hit on my calories!
  • Sriracha and hot sauce!! I put it with almost everything and also in most of the foods I prepare!!
  • I have a heck of a time getting the time to prepare my protein with my work schedule, workouts and three kids (single mom) so I have begun dedicating every second Sunday to cooking different proteins and packaging into single serve (3-4oz) packages and putting in the freezer. My favourites are: Roast chicken Pork roast…
  • I did my next day of 30 Day Shred and a 30min brisk walk on my treadmill. My biggest workout will be bundling up my kids and going for a walk in the snow and pulling them behind me in a sleigh
  • No problem! Your in better shape than someone getting a leg or foot piece! For those they recommend staying off it as much as possible for up to 4 days.... I couldn't imagine trying to stay still that long lol!!
  • Agreed to keep it clean. Sweating will actually help the tattoo work out any dried blood and to help prevent scabbing. Only thing I would advise is to watch the heavy weights for that muscle area for a week. Too much blood to that area could have adverse effects. Side note: no I'm not a tattoo artist but have had my share…
  • Be careful when purchasing a treadmill. What are you using it for? A lower end one will work great for walking at a brisk pace. But if you want to be able to jog/run, you should try it out before purchasing as some may not be sturdy enough for that movement. I have had my treadmill for 3 years (used one my parents no…
  • Beachbody's Country Heat!
  • Coffee.... my body is 95% caffeine, 3% sugar and 2% *kitten*
  • I use these in the Mio brand quite often when water just doesn't sound like something I would like. I also have a soda stream at home and carbonate my water and add lemon juice to it as a way to fill the craving for carbonation. Artificial sweeteners have gotten a bad rep, but in general, as long as its in moderation,…
  • Have you looked into resistance bands? They usually are a good cheap price, and you can make the resistance (weight) more intense as you gain muscle with your routines by shortening how you are holding them. Also I agree with using your baby in workouts.. my 2.5yr old STILL asks me to do squats with him in my arms! lol!…
