Been a tough week. I don’t like work travel. It even harder when I travel with coworkers who aren’t aware of my battles with an eating disorder. And I really need routines. So glad to be home.

26.2 miles is the distance of a marathon. After losing significant weight I am now running marathons. I update the hash marks below once in a while, I’ve now ran 48 marathons.

I've done 48 and working on all 50 states. The biggest difference in training is to stretch out those long runs. I start my 18-20 week training cycle with a base which includes a couple half marathons, then include two long runs of 15, two of 17, two of 19 and three runs exceeding 20 miles. For those fretting over pace: I’ve ran 47 or 48 marathons and probably 70 plus 13.1’s. I’ve never qualified for Boston. Someone once told me this: “You don’t have to have a “good” time to have a GREAT time!” Seriously, just enjoy it and the camaraderie and the roads and trails.
