  • I lost down to 18.6, and lost my butt; there was still some fat there, but it was deflated and not attractive. My chest showed my ribs and sternum a little too much, and my arms looked insect-like with so little fat to smooth out the muscles. I began to get self-conscious. I look my best at a BMI of 20-21 (height: 5'3.5,…
  • I used to think I was an hourglass, but with the weight loss I've turned more into a ruler/athletic. My butt has deflated, and I haven't yet built up enough muscles to make it look other than like a failed soufflé.
  • Try Nordstrom online; they have band sizes down to 28, and cup sizes up to K, even in the small band sizes. They're expensive, though, usually above $50; I think the bras in those sizes are European brands. (30D here -- and that D looks mighty tiny.) Interesting what VintageFeline said about her figure shape changing…
  • Yes, at least as far as Day One cramps are concerned. Irritability and bloating are the same, but I've had only very slight cramping these past couple of cycles; before, the cramps on Day One would wake me up in the middle of the night or leave me curled on the couch all day. • That the cellulite on my thighs would go away. It's been my loathed companion for 30 years, and two days ago I looked in the mirror and was like, "Whaa.... Wait a minute. WHAT?" I keep checking in different lighting, making sure it's gone. I think it was those pesky "last five pounds" that did it, plus a regular exercise…
  • Here's a fascinating journal article on diet and acne. Your skin may get better just from reducing calories. In my own case (lifelong sufferer of random breakouts), things have much improved by cutting dairy out, and drastically reducing sugars/simple carbs. Monthly hormone fluctuations still get me, but overall things are…
  • That at goal weight I'd suddenly find myself reaching for dramatically loose clothing -- not baggy clothes, but intentionally flowing, like super-wide leg pants. They physically feel good flowing around me, but when I see a picture of myself in them I look like I've been buried in fabric (I'm short; they probably look…
