Avoid foods during the day that create cravings when you arent hungry: breads, pasta rice. When you get rid of those, youll crave less during the day significantly.

Absolutely. Its all about individual balance. I would suggest very small portion size, enough to get a taste...if you can handle a teaser. But as I said, for me the problem was the habit of eating late- and by late, for me it was more than i needed (stress eating)

Food substitutes like tea are bandaids. The problem is the habit. To be honest, i bought an xbox, after years of mocking adults with one...thats my new late night drug of choice :-)

By the way, it might sound weird, but i also have trouble with nate night snacks. I do find it helpful to drive a few miles, walk the dog, or anything else that would be unusual at late hours rather than food. It breaks the habit, routine, and makes you more active (rather than reactive).

Sometimes you need a quickie, cus itll satisfy you more than wholesome goodness. Ive been eating fruits, veggies, and nuts only since new years, but yesterday while on a 6 hour drive, i bought hazelnut snickers, knowing it has 400 calories total.
