I hate my upper arms they are so big. Can I do anything to lose weight there sooner? I hear you can't spot reduce but hope it's not true.
I have roughly 25-30kg to lose overall

    Nope, can't spot reduce.

Patience and weight lifting to retain muscle as you lose weight :)

It's true, you can't spot reduce. Weight training will help you retain and build muscle in your arms, but those muscles will still be covered by a layer of fat.

Stick to your calorie counting and you'll eventually lose the fat in your arms.

Lyssa is right on. Your arms might me something your conscious of but a positive smile can be your highlight, and what people remember. I hope thats what you achieve, to the point that you forget your arms.

I've lost and gained 80 lbs like three times and my upper arms look horrible and I'm only in my early 40's. I am too embarrassed to wear anything but sleeves that cover them.

Focus on the journey and achieving small goals.. before you know it your arms will be smaller :) stay motivated and stay happy. It will all come with time
