I've gotten used to having coffee with only the sweetness of milk! But, I really enjoy the Torani or other flavorings on occasion. They have plenty of sugar free options which taste just as yummy!…

Okay, so it's more correct to go by grams? That makes sense! Thanks :)

I'm new to all this, and just ordered a scale. My brain automatically thought that if a serving is 245 grams, then more grams in one cup equals more calories? Do you normally estimate based on the cup or based on the weight? My thoughts are that, if it's a chunky soup, more chunks in a cup could be heavier and equate to…

I have been eating 1200 for about two weeks now. It took some getting used to as I usually wanted more food at first, but was not actually hungry. Since I no longer have those cravings, it is working quite well. I am much shorter than you though, 5'2" and heavier, 183 starting, 21 years old. I've lost 7lbs though and, like…

Me too! I've been saving money because I eat less and don't snack. Pizza and beer? Yes, please. One slice, and one high quality dark.

I've been logging everything accurately for the last few weeks and it is getting quite tedious. I've noticed that spinach and other green veggies (in, say, an omelet or whatnot) contain hardly any calories. I just joined. First MFP challenge. Terribly nervous as I have kept my true weight a secret from everyone in my life. Hoping to break part of that fear and finally have real accountability!

Just for today I will: 1. Stick to the pre-planned meals that I have entered into my diary 2. Drink water instead of giving in to unplanned snacking 3. Think only positive thoughts when I look in the mirror

My apparent TDEE (same as BMR?) is 1896... And yes, I only have 40lbs to lose. Does this mean that I will lose weight more slowly? Not sure how it ties in. If I stay under 1200 calories (measuring more accurately as you noted), will that be enough to lose weight? @CrabNebula How did you do it? Just counting calories?

Ok, I think I did it right. Let me know.
